On the morning of December 4, the 10th term People's Council of Quang Nam province, term 2021-2026, opened its 28th session. Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh and Tran Xuan Vinh co-chaired.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Vuong Quoc Thang, full-time member of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Tri Thanh briefly presented the results of the Front's work in government building in 2024. Specifically, in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels organized 1,143 conferences to disseminate legal documents; thoroughly grasp and implement resolutions and directives of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee on promoting the strength of great national unity and the task of local socio-economic development.
Regarding the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Le Tri Thanh proposed to organize the supervision of the implementation of Resolution No. 25/2021 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the mechanism and policies to support the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the period of 2021 - 2025 and Resolution No. 35/2021 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the mechanism to support the development of garden economy and farm economy in the province in the period of 2021 - 2025 to have a basis for considering and issuing a new, more suitable resolution in the next period.
“Consider adjusting and increasing the additional funding for the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the commune and ward levels in Resolution 36/2021 of the Provincial People's Council to ensure that it is consistent with actual operations. Continue to improve the quality of voter meetings and coordinate with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to monitor the implementation of commitments to voters by the Provincial People's Council delegates,” said Mr. Le Tri Thanh.
Regarding the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Tri Thanh requested the Provincial People's Committee to work with the project management board to renovate and upgrade National Highway 14E to promptly carry out compensation and site clearance work, speed up construction progress to promptly promote efficiency, and at the same time request the Central Government to allocate capital to upgrade National Highway 14D and manage vehicle loads to ensure traffic safety.
Research and promulgate regulations on implementing democracy in land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement in Quang Nam province according to the Law on Implementing Democracy at Grassroots Level 2022 and the Land Law 2024. Continue to complete unfinished resettlement areas to arrange resettlement and issue land use right certificates to people. Proactively survey and build some mountainous residential areas to promptly relocate and arrange residents in areas at high risk of landslides.
