Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said the above when reporting to the National Assembly on resolving current hot issues that National Assembly deputies and voters are concerned about, during the question and answer session at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly on the morning of June 6.
Ensuring the gold market develops stably and healthily
The Deputy Prime Minister said that in the face of complicated fluctuations and potential risks in the gold market, the Government and the Prime Minister have issued a series of instructions and urged the State Bank of Vietnam to urgently implement solutions to manage and stabilize the gold market such as bidding; strengthen inspection and examination, promptly and strictly handle violations; direct the implementation of regulations on electronic invoices with data connection with tax authorities...
Accordingly, from June 3, 2024, the State Bank has proactively sold gold through the system of 4 state-owned commercial banks. At the end of the session on June 5, 2024, the price of SJC gold decreased, selling at 77.98 million VND/tael (down 1 million VND/tael compared to June 4).
“In the coming time, the Government will focus on research, proactively respond to timely policies, resolutely implement solutions to stabilize the gold market, and ensure the effective, efficient and timely use of state management tools,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
At the same time, amend and supplement Decree No. 24/2012/ND-CP to suit the new situation, ensuring the gold market develops stably, healthily, transparently, effectively, supporting socio-economic development, and preventing the goldification of the economy.
No shortage of electricity or gasoline in any situation
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Government will focus on directing the effective implementation of trade promotion activities, promoting the role of the system of representative agencies abroad to expand export markets, especially markets under signed FTAs. Accelerate negotiations and signing of free trade agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the South American Common Market (MERCOSUR)...
Along with that, strongly develop the domestic market, stimulate consumption, effectively implement the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". Timely have solutions to ensure sufficient supply of essential goods to serve people's needs, avoid shortages and price hikes.
Regarding e-commerce, the Government will review relevant legal regulations for synchronous amendments, in the direction of supplementing criteria, sanctions for management and handling of violations; focusing on ensuring system safety, information security, and personal data; connecting transaction data between state management agencies to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Researching plans to establish a monitoring organization and build a monitoring system for e-commerce transactions; encouraging domestic enterprises to develop Vietnam's online trading platforms.
The Government leader also said that the Government will effectively implement the Plan and the Plan to implement the 8th Power Plan; soon complete new mechanisms and policies on electricity; ensure energy security, and avoid shortages of electricity and gasoline in any situation.

Another content mentioned by the Deputy Prime Minister is to promote the restructuring of industries, especially the processing and manufacturing industry. Proposing breakthrough mechanisms and policies to attract investment in emerging fields such as renewable energy industry; high-speed railway industry; exploitation and processing of some strategic minerals; research and development, application of new materials; semiconductor chip industry; information technology industry, digital content industry, large-scale FDI projects, high technology.
There are mechanisms to promote and encourage FDI enterprises to transfer technology, localize, and develop domestic value chains. Continue to promote and encourage FDI enterprises to expand their domestic supplier systems, creating conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the supply chain.
Prioritize resources to develop cultural industry
Sharing the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the difficulties and limitations that are barriers to cultural development, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hopes that the National Assembly will continue to pay attention and soon decide on the investment policy of the National Target Program on cultural revival and development, building Vietnamese people in the period of 2025-2035 for implementation.
The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Government prioritizes resources and has mechanisms and policies to develop cultural industries, considering this an important economic sector. At the same time, it focuses on developing human resources for the cultural and sports sectors. Review and have mechanisms and policies from selection, training, recruitment, treatment, and placement for workers in the fields of performing arts and high-level sports; properly honor talents, contributions, and top-notch dedication.
There is a long-term policy to retrain and develop talented athletes and artists to participate in teaching, training, research, analysis, criticism, theory... Plan and effectively mobilize resources for investment and development of a network of cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots, regional and national levels, with exploitation and operation mechanisms to ensure efficiency.
With the viewpoint: "Tourism development must be placed in the overall socio-economic development with the role of a spearhead economic sector", the Government issued Resolution No. 82 on effective and sustainable tourism development. The Prime Minister issued Directive No. 08 specifically directing ministries, branches and localities to resolve the weak points pointed out by National Assembly deputies, which are industry linkages, regional linkages and local linkages to create new driving forces, unique tourism products, and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism.
In the coming time, the Government will continue to direct the acceleration of investment in infrastructure systems, especially transport infrastructure; promote the connection between service sectors and tourism (transportation - accommodation - consumption - healthcare - education - events - sports), linking tourism development with culture and life; strengthen communication and promotion of Vietnamese tourism abroad; facilitate immigration procedures.
Promote digital transformation in tourism (booking, services, e-visa, promotion, payment); link tours - routes, develop tourism routes according to a chain of rich destinations; diversify tourism products, commercial products serving tourism; focus on training, developing human resources, creating a civilized, friendly and hospitable tourism environment.
