On the occasion of the beginning of the new school year and the 72nd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution Industry of Vietnam, on the afternoon of August 28, at the branch of the National Political Publishing House Truth (72 Tran Quoc Thao, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), a cooperation signing ceremony took place between the unit and the University of Finance - Marketing.
Over the years, the Truth National Political Publishing House has always had cooperation programs with universities across the country to improve the quality and effectiveness of coordination in publishing, book distribution, communication, and event organization. In particular, this activity also aims to strengthen the relationship between the Publishing House and universities to promote political theory propaganda for students, and exploit good sources of documents and manuscripts compiled by lecturers.
The signing of cooperation with the University of Finance and Marketing is considered the first step to expand and enhance the relationship between the two units, thereby promptly providing valuable theoretical and practical publications to serve training work, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the two agencies.
In addition to paper books, the Truth National Political Publishing House also produces e-books. Up to now, the unit has 5 important e-bookcases, including: a bookcase about the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a bookcase about Party cells, a bookcase about protecting the Party's ideological foundation, a bookcase about leaders and famous historical figures of Vietnam, and a bookcase about international relations. In addition, there will be a textbook bookcase in the near future.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Truth National Political Publishing House Branch in Ho Chi Minh City presented to representatives of the University of Finance and Marketing a set of books including books about President Ho Chi Minh and books by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. In addition, the branch also prepared 100 discount vouchers when purchasing at the branch's bookstore system and 100 free e-book reading accounts as a gift to the school's students on the occasion of the new school year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga, Director of the Truth National Political Publishing House Branch in Ho Chi Minh City, said that besides the large, traditional partner which is the local propaganda system, the branch's very important partner is the universities.
“The publishing house is currently the exclusive publisher and distributor of the Ministry of Education and Training’s textbooks for political theory subjects. At the same time, the branch also exploits many manuscripts compiled by university lecturers to publish as reference books for students,” said Ms. Quynh Nga.
Previously, the Truth National Political Publishing House signed cooperation agreements with a number of universities such as: Academy of Journalism and Communication, University of Transport (Hanoi), Ho Chi Minh City National University, Banking University (Ho Chi Minh City).
