As of 9:30 p.m. on July 13, authorities were still extinguishing the remaining flames of a fire that broke out in a scrap fabric warehouse in Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District (HCMC).

According to initial information, at around 8:45 p.m. the same day, people saw a fire inside a warehouse storing scraps of fabric located in an alley on Huynh Thien Loc Street (Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District), so they shouted and tried to put out the fire together.
Due to flammable materials, the fire spread and flared up violently, making on-site firefighting efforts unsuccessful. The fire created a column of black smoke that covered an area.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police and Rescue Force of Tan Phu District Police mobilized many vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene. The Fire Police and Rescue Force of Tan Binh District Police were then also mobilized to support in extinguishing the fire.
Nearly an hour later, the fire was under control. Authorities continued to use water hoses to spray water into the scrap warehouse to put out the remaining flames.
The cause and damage of the fire at the scrap fabric warehouse in Hoa Thanh Ward are being investigated by the police.
