Bridge between Ho Chi Minh City and international localities

The Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum (HEF) 2024 will take place from September 24-27 with the participation and contributions of many domestic and foreign economic experts. HEF 2024 has the theme "Industrial transformation, a new driving force for sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City".

The main discussion session will take place on September 25, with more than 27 successful domestic and international experts in the fields of industrial transformation, innovation and sustainable development, along with international organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF), World Bank (WB), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)...

Mr. Le Truong Duy, Assistant Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs, said that the event was organized to promote and develop friendly and cooperative relations between the city and localities around the world.

Besides, this is also an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnam and its people in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, to international friends.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA), the city is the locality with the largest economic scale in the country and concentrates key economic activities, so Ho Chi Minh City understands the difficulties of businesses in the transformation process and wishes to support timely solutions for businesses.

“HEF 2024 hopes to bring diverse lessons learned from experienced experts in the field, to facilitate the development and support of businesses in the green transition,” he said.

Within the framework of HEF 2024, the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue (FD) 2024 will also be held with the theme “Industrial Transformation: Experience and Priorities in Development Cooperation”. The dialogue will take place from September 23-24.

There are currently 36 local and international ministerial and sector delegations confirmed to attend FD 2024, coming from 16 countries: Laos, Cambodia, China, Cuba, USA, Japan, Korea, Russia, India, Germany, Australia, Italy, Portugal, Belarus, Hungary, Uruguay.
