On the evening of July 10, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi officially announced the early admission benchmark scores for 28 majors/training programs.
Specifically, the School announced the benchmark scores for early admission methods, including direct admission (PT 301), admission according to special regulations (303); considering HSA competency assessment test scores of Hanoi National University (401) and considering international SAT certificates (408).
The industry benchmarks are as follows:
For direct admission, the school considers students who have won third place at the national level or higher, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. According to the specific regulations, the award level for admission is similar, but applies to the excellent student exams at the provincial, city, and Hanoi National University levels. For the majors of Journalism, Public Relations, and Psychology, students must win first place to pass.
With the method of considering the entrance exam scores, from 80 to 104/150, the highest is still Public Relations. Followed by Psychology and Journalism with 101.5 and 97.5 points respectively. When converted to a scale of 30, the standard score is from 16 to 20.8, according to the formula:
Admission score = Capacity assessment score * 30/150 + Priority points (if any)
In the admission method based on SAT certificate (a popular standardized test in the US), 26/28 majors have a standard score of 1,140/1,600, except for Psychology and Public Relations, which have 1,227 and 1,173 points respectively.
After conversion, the benchmark score for this method is about 21.38-23/30 points. The calculation formula is as follows:
Admission score = SAT score *30/1600 + Priority points
In the 2024-2025 school year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will enroll 2,300 students through 6 methods. In addition to the above 4 methods, the school also considers the 2024 high school graduation exam scores and international language certificates (IELTS, TOEFL iBT, HSK and HSKK, JLPT, TOPIK II) combined with graduation exam scores.
