Close-up of rare snake-necked birds appearing in Dong Nai

In recent days, a tourist area in Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai Province) has seen a flock of rare snake-necked birds with more than 100 individuals living and nesting on a tall tree on an island in the middle of the lake.

According to observations, this flock of snake-necked birds consists of many individuals from young birds to adults. They often move to forage in lakes and rest on high tree branches. This bird species has a long neck, sharp beak, and when swimming, its body is submerged under the water, similar to a snake.
