Musician Duc Tri and crew had a press conference to announce information about the Duc Tri 2024 Live Concert - Co doi mot in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to the 8 guest singers that have been widely announced including Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Le Hieu, Lan Nha, Thuy Chi, Van Mai Huong, Trung Quan and Anh Tu, the crew has just announced singer Phuong Thanh and a guest that was kept secret until the last minute.

Regarding Ho Ngoc Ha, Duc Tri shared: "She is very busy but rarely says no to me. When I did a show in Da Lat, Ha also arranged to participate. We rarely talk, don't have many opportunities to meet but are always there when needed. This concert took place close to my birthday. At 51 years old, having precious old friendships is fun."

Phuong Thanh is one of two guests whose identity was kept secret. However, no one was surprised by this information.

Duc Tri is proud of the guest singers who are considered to have a balance between inner strength, technique and emotion. He thanks the singers and popular artists of the Vietnamese music industry for arranging to participate in the live show.

Among the guests who are more or less closely associated with Duc Tri's musical career, singer Anh Tu is an unknown quantity as he has only collaborated with him on a few Musique De Salon shows .

When "Voi Ban Don" asked why he was invited, the male musician jokingly said: "According to a personal survey, my orchestra - mostly female - likes Tu the most. On the days when Tu practices, the girls naturally show up on time. The production team also really likes Tu. If so many people love him, there's no reason not to invite him."

Professionally, Duc Tri tested Anh Tu's ability and commented that his junior "did better the more difficult the challenge".

Working with young singers, he feels that he is not old yet, and is increasingly energetic in composing, teaching and making music. The musician said: "Working with them, I feel happy, artists must be happy before thinking about other things. The young people sing very well, a new source of energy makes old songs have different energy and color. It is impossible to compare whether the old or the young sing better, the important thing is that the music must be like that".

Duc Tri added that every time he organizes a show, he receives questions like "why isn't this person or that person there?" "It's simply impossible to invite everyone to one show," he said.

Previously, Duc Tri had held music nights in Da Lat (2022), Hanoi (2023) but had never done it in Ho Chi Minh City because of the mentality of "home temple is not sacred" and fear of losing money. Only now, he decided to hold a show for an important milestone in Ho Chi Minh City - the place where he was born and raised.
