Inviting Ho Ngoc Ha but My Tam absent at the live concert, what did musician Duc Tri say?

Duc Tri is one of the most successful musicians in modern Vietnamese music . After 29 years of artistic activities, the musician organized the live concert introduction Co doi lan - his largest-scale solo concert.

This is also a special occasion for the talented musician and his "musical soulmates" to immerse themselves in an artistic space bearing the imprints of each period of composition.

According to the sharing, 8 guest singers will appear in the music night including Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Le Hieu, Lan Nha, Thuy Chi, Van Mai Huong, Trung Quan and Anh Tu. In addition, the music night will also have the appearance of Phuong Thanh and a secret singer who will be kept secret until the end.

Regarding Ho Ngoc Ha's appearance, Duc Tri said that he was rarely rejected by the female singer. "Ho Ngoc Ha is busy but she never rejected me. We don't talk much, don't have many opportunities to meet, but she is always there when needed. This concert was held on October 5, close to my birthday. I am happy to have precious friendships," Duc Tri shared.

Accordingly, Ho Ngoc Ha has had a close friendship and special attachment to musician Duc Tri in music since the very first days. Over many years in her career, Ho Ngoc Ha has always been a singer who successfully and impressively performs Duc Tri's songs, leaving many emotions in the hearts of music listeners.

In response to questions about My Tam not appearing in the guest list of the live concert, Duc Tri said: "My Tam appeared in my concert last year in Hanoi . There were questions about why I didn't invite this person or that person. The answer is very simple: I couldn't invite everyone.

Most importantly, I'm someone who likes things to be just right. My shows aren't long, and the duration is short. Having many guests is good, but having too many will distract the audience."

My Tam did not appear in the guest list of Duc Tri's music night.

For Phuong Thanh, she said her friendship with Duc Tri is a "deep bond". In the early 90s, she was active in the Sao Dem group and coincidentally met Duc Tri - who was then a fledgling music producer.

"In the Sao Dem group, I often sang "screaming" music. But when I met Duc Tri, he let me sing Chiec ao ba ba. Until now, I still listen to Duc Tri, whatever he tells me to sing, I sing.

We are almost the same age, but to me, Duc Tri is like a 200-year-old "old man". I jokingly told Duc Tri's wife that "at home he is my husband, but on stage he is yours". Although I am not a muse in music, I am "a lady off stage". I am happy that Duc Tri's arrangements for me are all successful", Phuong Thanh shared.

Musician Duc Tri said he cherishes his long-time friends in his career because "finding a soul mate is not easy".

"When I was young, I considered senior musicians as my support. Now I'm at the age where everyone who meets me calls me "Hello uncle, hello uncle". I'm afraid of having to stand alone, having to be a support for others. When I meet old friends, I feel secure because we've gone a long way together," he said.

Phuong Thanh admitted to being Duc Tri's soulmate.

Talking about his recent collaboration with young singers, Duc Tri feels that he is not old at all, but on the contrary, he still feels very energetic in composing, teaching or making music. For Duc Tri, he prioritizes happiness first before considering other things.

"Young people sing very well. It is a new source of energy that makes my old songs. You cannot compare whether the old people sing better or the young people, the important thing is that the music must be like that. You cannot just let one singer sing, there will be many other versions. Audiences of any era will feel and love music according to their own preferences and age," he added.

In addition to the 10 artists participating in the concert, Duc Tri also held a casting session to invite special voices - not professional singers - to have the opportunity to perform under the grand stage lights. After the selection period, the deaf girl Bao Han with her sweet voice was chosen.

Duc Tri's live concert Co doi lan will take place on October 5 at Military Zone 7 Stadium (HCMC).
