Training on non-traditional security management knowledge for officials at all levels

Trainees are provincial officials participating in a training course on security management and non-traditional security.

The lecturer reporting on the topic is a professor, PhD from the Institute of Non-Traditional Security, University of Management and Business, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The content of the topics, in addition to general knowledge, is associated with an assessment of the situation and reality of Dien Bien province to have a comprehensive and realistic assessment in handling security and non-traditional security issues.

Trainees are imparted with contents, knowledge and skills on security management and non-traditional security management such as: Overview of traditional security, non-traditional security; handling political hotspots, social hotspots, resolving social conflicts and preventing crime, preventing social evils; economic development and economic security management; management of resource, environmental and tourism security; prevention and response to epidemic crises; management of border security, religious and ethnic security and ensuring national defense and security, some opportunities, challenges and new issues that need attention in the construction and development of Dien Bien province in order to build a strategy to protect territorial integrity, sovereignty, institutions and protect the country from traditional security threats in the current period; implementing digital transformation.

Through the training course on security management and non-traditional security, trainees will consolidate their knowledge, improve their practical capacity, help improve their leadership capacity in each position and field of work, meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; contribute to building a stable and safe environment, effectively serving the socio-economic development tasks in the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Mua A Son suggested that students arrange and allocate time to fully implement the content and program of the class, promote a sense of responsibility, focus on research, and comprehensively grasp the content being conveyed. Take the initiative to self-study topics and documents to expand the scope of research, connect with the practical work of the locality and unit; enhance multi-dimensional exchanges and interactions between lecturers and students, and between students in the class. Actively exchange and discuss new issues, especially difficulties and complexities in the locality and base.
