Appointment of Prime Minister's Assistant as Deputy Head of the Government Office

(NLDO) - Mr. Trinh Manh Linh, Assistant to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, has been appointed Deputy Head of the Government Office.

The Prime Minister has just signed Decision No. 189/QD-TTg appointing Mr. Trinh Manh Linh, Assistant to the Prime Minister, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Government Office.

Mr. Trinh Manh Linh has a PhD in Economic Management, Master of Foreign Trade, Bachelor of Law.

In August 2023, Mr. Trinh Manh Linh was appointed as Assistant to Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Previously, Mr. Trinh Manh Linh served as Secretary to Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh from the time he was Head of the Central Organizing Committee of the 12th tenure.

Thus, the current Deputy Heads of the Government Office include: Mr. Nguyen Sy Hiep, Ms. Mai Thi Thu Van, Mr. Do Ngoc Huynh and Mr. Trinh Manh Linh. The Head of the Government Office is Minister Tran Van Son.

The Government Office is a ministerial-level agency of the Government, an apparatus assisting the Government and the Prime Minister.

The Government Office has the function of providing general advice and coordination to help the Government and the Prime Minister (including Deputy Prime Ministers) organize general activities of the Government, lead, direct and operate the activities of the Government and the state administrative system from the central to the grassroots level, ensuring unity, smoothness and continuity of the national administration;

At the same time, it has the function of controlling administrative procedures; ensuring information serving the leadership, direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister and providing information to the public according to the provisions of law; ensuring material, technical and logistical conditions for the activities of the Government and the Prime Minister.
