Major Ho Van Ha - Political Commissar of Cua Sot Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh Border Guard) said that the unit had just successfully rescued a fishing boat and two fishermen in distress in the sea bordering Loc Ha district and Nghi Xuan district.
Border Guard and rescue forces help rescue sunken vehicle
Accordingly, at 12:20 p.m., Cua Sot Border Control Station (under Cua Sot Border Post) received a report that the fishing boat of Mr. Tran Minh Duc (born in 1975) in Long Hai village, Thach Kim commune had an engine failure and was sunk by waves while fishing in Dong Ken creek (bordering Loc Ha and Nghi Xuan). The boat was in trouble 1 nautical mile from shore, with the boat owner and his son, Tran Minh Quan (born in 2004) on board.
Immediately after receiving the news, Cua Sot Border Guard Station mobilized 10 officers and soldiers, 2 vehicles and the support of local fishermen to the rescue. Thanks to the timely rescue, the safety of people was ensured, and the sunken fishing boat was also towed to Cua Sot fishing port after more than 3 hours.
Currently, the Border Guard and local authorities are meeting and encouraging the ship owner in distress, as well as estimating the damage and providing support to overcome the consequences.
