At 11:15 a.m. on March 29, the fishing boat QB-11429TS of Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1976, in Nam Phu village, Quang Phu commune, Dong Hoi city), while anchored on Nhat Le river (near Vuon Dua wharf, Huong Giang street, Dong Hai ward) suddenly caught fire fiercely.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Quang Binh Provincial Police immediately coordinated with Nhat Le Border Guard Station, local authorities and the family to make rescue efforts.

However, due to strong winds at this time and a lot of unused oil on the ship, the fire spread quickly and flared up fiercely, making it difficult to extinguish.

After more than 1 hour of firefighting, the fire was extinguished. The fire caused no human casualties. All assets on board and the upper part of the fishing boat were burned, with estimated damage of about 1.2 billion VND.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
