World gold price today April 11, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours

According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4am today, Vietnam time, was 3,157.25 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 2.3% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,064 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 99.2 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 4.4 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold price developments in the past 24 hours.

Gold prices rose nearly 3% to an all-time high, as a weaker US dollar and geopolitical tensions drove investors to the safe-haven appeal of the precious metal, Reuters reported.

Spot gold rose 2.8% to $3,168.26 an ounce at 11:32 a.m. ET (1532 GMT), after hitting a record high of $3,171.49 in the previous session. U.S. gold futures rose 3.5% to $3,185.50.

US President Donald Trump said he would temporarily reduce major tariffs on more than 70 countries, but increase tariffs on China to 125% from 104%.

Nikos Tzabouras, Senior Market Analyst at Tradu.com, said: "Gold regained its safe-haven appeal and is back on track to hit a new record high. However, the prospect of reaching an agreement with trading partners poses a significant risk to gold's upside potential, as they could renew pressure on the metal. In addition, headwinds could arise from diminishing expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut, which could strengthen the US dollar."

Meanwhile, the dollar index (.DXY) fell more than 1% against its rivals, making gold less expensive for holders of other currencies.

Data showed U.S. consumer prices unexpectedly fell in March, but inflation risks were tilted to the upside after Trump doubled tariffs on China. Following the data, traders expect the Federal Reserve to resume rate cuts in June and could reduce its policy rate by a total of one percentage point by year-end.

"We're seeing central banks buying (gold), so as long as we see inflows into ETFs and monetary policy risks rising, there are still a lot of important factors that will continue to support gold prices," said Alex Ebkarian, chief executive officer at Allegiance Gold.

Spot silver was steady at $31.02 an ounce, platinum rose 0.3% to $940.24, and palladium fell 1.5% to $918.
