The 2025 National Women's Football Cup will take place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi) from March 25 to April 6, 2025. The teams will be divided into two groups of three teams each and will compete in a round-robin format. Group A includes Thai Nguyen T&T Club, Son La Club and Ho Chi Minh City Club. Meanwhile, Group B is considered the "death group" with strong teams such as Than KSVN Club, Hanoi Club and Phong Phu Ha Nam Club. The four teams ranked first and second in each group will advance to compete for the championship.
In the first round of Group A, Thai Nguyen T&T Club took the field and met Son La Club. In terms of strength, Son La Club is the weakest team in Group A, so Bich Thuy and her teammates set the goal of winning big to take the lead, thereby creating an advantage to compete with Ho Chi Minh City Club. With that goal, Thai Nguyen T&T Club launched a strong lineup with many stars, rushing to attack right after the opening whistle. However, despite creating many opportunities, the tea-growing team was unable to penetrate Son La Club's net, ending the first half with a 0-0 draw.

Deadlocked throughout the first half, Thai Nguyen T&T Club had to strengthen their attack and increase pressure in the second half. In the 74th minute, Le Hoai Luong materialized Thai Nguyen T&T Club's opportunities with the opening goal.
After Hoai Luong's goal, the mentality of Thai Nguyen T&T Club players was almost relieved. They scored 3 consecutive goals in the 78th, 83rd and 90+2nd minutes to end the match with a resounding 4-0 victory. Notably, the owner of this hat-trick was none other than the most anticipated star - Bich Thuy.
With a 4-0 victory over Son La, Thai Nguyen T&T Club has 3 points, temporarily surpassing Ho Chi Minh City women's team (the team that had the first round off) to top Group A. On the opposite side, Son La Club fell to the bottom of the table with 0 points and a goal difference of -4.

After the match between Thai Nguyen T&T and Son La, Group B had a highlight match when the defending champion Vietnam Coal and Minerals Club (Than KSVN) faced a big challenge named Phong Phu Ha Nam.
In the first half, Than KSVN Club was the better team, having many scoring opportunities but unfortunately the team from the mining region wasted them. In the second half, Phong Phu Ha Nam Club rose up, playing an open game with Than KSVN. However, the strikers of both teams showed lack of luck, causing the match to end in a 0-0 draw.
