Nguyen Ngoc Anh Thu, 5 years old, has been treated for leukemia at the hospital for over a month. Thu's father, Nguyen Ngoc Sang, 36 years old, in Huong Ho ward, Hue city, said that since his daughter was hospitalized, the family's finances have been exhausted because they had to quit their jobs to stay with and take care of their daughter at the hospital. "I am grateful to the Hope Sun program and the sponsors for supporting my daughter and the children being treated at Hue Central Hospital," said Sang.
Accompanying her child, 7-year-old patient Nguyen Ngoc Tien, who has been in the hospital for more than 16 months, Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet said that the long-term treatment has caused many difficulties for the family. "Fortunately, the Hope Sun program has supported the treatment costs, so the family is less worried about paying hospital fees. I hope that many children with cancer who are being treated here and across the country will soon receive support for treatment costs from the program," Ms. Tuyet said.
