Beckham builds new stadium for Inter Miami

David Beckham has big ambitions for Inter Miami.

Inter Miami continues to make a strong mark on and off the pitch in the United States. With the ambitious new stadium project called Miami Freedom Park, the team aims to realize the groundbreaking vision that David Beckham and his associates have long cherished.

Founded in 2018, Inter Miami began competing in the US Major League Soccer (MLS) from the 2020 season. At that time, they played their home matches at Chase Stadium with a capacity of more than 21,000 seats. Chase Stadium was considered not to meet the standards and stature of a rising team like Inter Miami.

Inter Miami's new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, has a capacity of only about 25,000 seats, but uses modern technology, comparable to many top competition venues in Europe.

What's special about Miami Freedom Park is that it's not just a soccer stadium, but also a sports and community complex.

Inter Miami's board of directors revealed that the team's new home stadium is expected to be officially put into use from 2026. The team also wants Lionel Messi to be the ribbon-cutter at the inauguration of Miami Freedom Park.

This is an important milestone for Inter Miami's latest project in 2023, following the transfer of Lionel Messi. David Beckham and his associates hope Miami Freedom Park will become one of the most exciting football stadiums in the US.
