The workshop was held on the occasion of Hue city and the whole country towards the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and was an opportunity for Hue artists to look back on half a century of literature and art accompanying the development aspirations of the ancient capital of Hue.

With great contributions, over the past 50 years, the VNS Hue team has been constantly creative, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people and cultivating Hue culture, recognized by the Party and State, and awarded many noble awards and titles.

There were 33 presentations at the conference covering all aspects that have shaped Hue's culture and arts over the past half century and orienting its future development.

In the speech "Artists and writers are devoted to the modern and unique Hue literature and arts", Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Hue City Union of Literature and Arts Associations, emphasized the history of formation and development of Hue literature and arts from 1975 to the present.

The conference also heard presentations from professional associations, such as those by critic Pham Phu Phong and Dr. Phan Tuan Anh from the Literature Association; those by musician Le Phung and Dr. Nguyen Viet Duc from the Music Association; those by photographer Pham Van Ty from the Photography Association; those by researcher Nguyen The from the Folk Arts Association; those by Dr. Nguyen Thien Duc (Fine Arts Association).

At the workshop, in addition to evaluating the achievements, the VNS frankly acknowledged that, compared to the period of resistance war and national construction, literary and artistic activities in the period of national renovation are somewhat stagnant, lacking works with high artistic generalization, with the ability to appeal, move, encourage, and motivate the entire people to join hands and unite...

The country is entering a new stage of development, an era of national growth, with determination and belief in a strong country, Hue city is not outside of that new spirit and new aspiration. After the conference, VNS Hue affirmed that it is necessary to make more creative efforts, making culture and arts go hand in hand with the aspiration to develop the city and the country.
