Closing of the first mock session of the 'Children's Parliament'

After 2 days of serious, urgent, scientific, democratic and highly responsible work, on the morning of September 10, the First Session - "Children's National Assembly" completed the proposed program and closed.

The session was chaired by child delegates, including: Dang Cat Tien (Khanh Hoa) - Chairman of the "Children's National Assembly"; Le Quang Vinh (Hoa Binh) - Permanent Vice Chairman of the "Children's National Assembly". The Vice Chairmen of the "Children's National Assembly" were: Dam Ha My (Bac Giang), Kieu Quang Huy (Binh Thuan) and Nguyen The Manh (Tuyen Quang).

An innovative and creative session, better meeting practical requirements

Speaking at the end of the session, Chairman of the "Children's National Assembly" Dang Cat Tien said that the "Children's National Assembly" had listened to a report on the results of collecting opinions from young voters on the content of "Protecting children from healthy and creative interactions on the Internet" and "Preventing and combating accidents, injuries, violence and child abuse". The "National Assembly" discussed and proposed many solutions to promote children's right to participate in the following issues: Continuing to research, supplement and perfect legal regulations on protecting children's safety on the Internet; clearly defining the responsibilities of families, schools and society. Along with that, it is necessary to synchronously deploy programs and projects, closely coordinate with state agencies, families, schools and society in child care, education and protection activities.

The "National Assembly" requested relevant agencies, levels and sectors to continue to synchronously, promptly and comprehensively implement policies, tasks and solutions according to the set goals in the work of protecting and caring for children. The Chairman of the "National Assembly for Children" requested that the "National Assembly for Children" delegates promptly report to "child voters" nationwide on the results of the meeting, regularly maintain close contact, listen and honestly reflect the opinions and aspirations of voters. Thereby, encouraging people to well implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws and policies; actively supervise the implementation of the Constitution and laws on child protection and the Resolution "Protecting children in healthy and creative interactions on the Internet" and "Preventing and combating accidents, injuries, violence and child abuse" in this session.

Chairman of the "Children's National Assembly" Dang Cat Tien affirmed that the session was a great success, with many innovations and creativity, better meeting practical requirements. During the session, 266 "Children's National Assembly" delegates spoke at 8 group discussions and plenary sessions. National Assembly agencies, the Government, and relevant organizations worked urgently and responsibly to give opinions, thoroughly and thoroughly explain the opinions of "Children's National Assembly" delegates on the issues of the session, ensuring the best content to be submitted to the "Children's National Assembly" for consideration and decision.

The “Children’s National Assembly” voted to pass the Resolution with a very high approval rate. Representatives of the Children’s Councils of provinces and cities attended to directly monitor the plenary session of the “National Assembly”...

The "Children's National Assembly" would like to express its sincere thanks to the profound leadership of the Party and State leaders; revolutionary veterans, experts, scientists, managers, "child voters" and people nationwide who have contributed many dedicated, responsible and valuable opinions during the preparation and holding of the session.

The young delegates believe that under the correct and wise leadership of the Party; the close, harmonious coordination and proactive participation of all levels, sectors and the entire political system; the unanimous support and dedicated efforts of the people, children - the future owners of the country will definitely be protected and developed comprehensively, gradually realizing the task: "Caring for nurturing, educating, comprehensively developing and ensuring the rights of children; giving the best conditions and the most thoughtful care to children - the future of the country" as proposed at the 13th National Party Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha congratulated the "Children's National Assembly delegates" and "Children's Government members" for successfully discussing, questioning and explaining current and urgent issues in caring for and protecting children, namely: Preventing and combating accidents, injuries, violence and child abuse; Protecting children with healthy and creative interactions in the digital transformation process.

The Deputy Prime Minister was very impressed by the maturity, deep understanding, clear thinking, sharp eloquence, and sense of responsibility of the young delegates towards "small but not small" issues, at their own age. The questions, answers, and opinions of the children left adults with many profound thoughts about responsibilities and obligations towards issues that are close and practical to children and the future of the country.

It may not be complete, but the questions and statements of the delegates at the meeting are the wishes of Vietnamese children sent to the National Assembly and the Government. Not only that, this is also a voice from the future to the country when deciding on development issues from today.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that, within their authority and responsibility, the Deputy Prime Minister and leaders and members of the Government will always listen to and take note of children's opinions, especially the issues that have been resolved in the Resolution of the Mock Session of the "Children's National Assembly" to continue to improve and organize the implementation of laws; develop and issue specific and practical action plans to care for, protect and create an environment for more than 15 million Vietnamese teenagers and children to develop better and safer.

The Government and the Prime Minister will direct ministries, branches and localities to make efforts to build a safe, healthy learning environment, comprehensively developing morality - intelligence - physique - aesthetics, towards a united and responsible learning community. This will be a place where every child has the opportunity to develop and demonstrate their talents, be ready to master new knowledge, adapt to change, and become responsible global citizens in the future.

The Government and ministries, branches and localities will also focus on building codes of conduct for culture and safety in schools, public spaces, families and online environments. Relevant parties have solutions to promote positive and useful information, helping to equip knowledge and skills, fostering love for the homeland, country and people; effectively preventing bad, toxic information and content inappropriate for children and teenagers. Authorities will create more channels and forums for children to express their wishes, participate in building and perfecting policies related to them.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and local ministries and branches continue to organize more models of activities and useful playgrounds. Thereby, children can both practice their skills and participate substantially in the areas of social life that they are interested in right from school, in the community... From there, contributing to training generations of Vietnamese citizens who are confident, brave, responsible, and ready to contribute their strength and intelligence from a young age for the prosperity and longevity of the country, for the progress of society.
