On April 16, at the Provincial Youth Culture and Sports Center, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province to organize the Closing Ceremony of the 9th Central Highlands Karate Championship, 2023.

The 9th Central Highlands Karate Championship took place over 3 days (April 14-16) attracting the participation of nearly 300 athletes from 17 delegations of provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region. During the 3 days of competition, athletes competed in 76 events in 4 age groups.
The tournament took place in the spirit of sportsmanship "Solidarity, honesty, nobility" with exciting, dramatic matches and dedicated to the audience attractive matches.

In the final results, the First Prize for the whole delegation belonged to the Ha Tinh Provincial Athletes Delegation with 14 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals; the Second Prize belonged to the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Athletes Delegation with 10 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals; the Third Prize belonged to the Gia Lai Provincial Athletes Delegation with 9 Gold Medals, 3 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals.
Quang Tri province is the locality chosen by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training to host the 10th Central Highlands Karate Championship in 2024.

The Central Highlands Karate Championship is an annual tournament held to encourage and promote the Karate training movement, creating conditions for athletes to improve their skills and competition experience. Thereby, selecting potential and excellent athletes to train and practice in order to prepare forces to participate in tournaments at higher levels.
