According to information from the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of Ho Chi Minh City Police on November 5, the unit has just prosecuted and detained Nguyen Thi Cam Nguyen, Nguyen Van Ngon, Le Huu Nhan, and Pham Duy Khanh for the act of Prostitution Brokerage.

Previously, detectives from PC02 discovered that restaurant 97 (97 bis Suong Nguyet Anh, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) had signs of prostitution. Nguyen Thi Cam Nguyen was the owner and direct operator.

In addition to the above establishments, Nguyen also owns several restaurants in District 1 and District 5 that operate karaoke without a license.

Through investigation, the police determined that restaurant 97 is a long-standing establishment, famous in the entertainment world and the most "VIP" establishment in the restaurant chain owned by Nguyen.

Nguyen Thi Cam Nguyen allowed the restaurant's female attendants to sell sex, frequently changing their methods of operation, and finding ways to deal with the police. This woman directed the use of slang such as "eating rice, eating porridge" to imply that female attendants were allowed to sell sex with customers.

The restaurant has 15 rooms that operate karaoke without a license, with about 60 female attendants ready to sell sex to customers in need; there is an alarm system including walkie-talkies, warning lights, automatic sound mute... In front of the gate, there are always 3 to 5 security guards to monitor the situation and notify the inside when the police come to check.

By promising high salaries and commissions, Nguyen colluded with many managers to lure hundreds of female waitresses to work for his restaurant chain.

Customers coming to the restaurant are advertised and offered services such as erotic dancing, female attendants available on request, and many attractive "combos" at reasonable prices, "guaranteed not to be checked by authorities".

When inspecting restaurant 97, the authorities seized many documents and evidence related to the restaurant organizing female attendants to sell sex at hotels in Ho Chi Minh City. The attendants and guests were taken to the police station for investigation and clarification.

These guests stated that after eating and singing karaoke at restaurant 97, they were brokered by manager Nguyen Van Ngon to buy sex from 4 female attendants, the price for sex was 12 million VND/person/night.

From prostitution brokerage, Nguyen's restaurant system attracts thousands of customers every month to eat, drink, have fun and illegally profit tens of billions of dong.

The police are expanding the investigation into the case, searching for and clarifying those who helped organize prostitution at this restaurant.
