Hanoi adds 8 land acquisition projects this year
On February 25, at a special session, the Hanoi People's Council unanimously approved the adjustment and addition of the list of land acquisition projects in 2025 in the city. Hanoi added the list of land acquisition projects this year in 8 districts, towns and cities with a total area of 772.5 hectares.
Specifically, Bac Tu Liem district has the Vibex Urban Area project in the wards of Duc Thang, Dong Ngac, and Thuy Phuong. In Dong Anh district, there are projects such as the construction of the new urban area G15; the new high-class urban area Dong Anh; the construction of the new urban area G6; the concentrated social housing area in Tien Duong commune; the concentrated social housing area in Tien Duong commune (Green Link City).

Long Bien District has a social housing investment project at lot HH4, planning block A4 of urban subdivision N10 in Ngoc Thuy Ward. Me Linh District has 2 projects including Dai Thinh new urban area and Me Linh high-end new urban area.
Nam Tu Liem District has the urban functional area project Nam Dai Lo Thang Long. Soc Son District has 2 projects including the new urban area Mai Dinh I and the new urban area C1-9 in Mai Dinh Commune. Son Tay Town has the new urban area Vien Son. Thanh Tri District has 2 projects including the new urban area C3-1 in Dai Ang Commune and the new urban area in Lien Ninh Commune.
Ministry of Construction has 23 affiliated units after the arrangement
On March 25, the Government issued Decree 33 regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Construction, effective from March 1.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Construction performs 32 groups of tasks and powers according to the provisions of the Law on Government Organization, the Government's regulations on functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies. Of which, there are 4 groups of tasks and powers as a Government agency and 25 groups of tasks and powers performing State management functions.
Regarding the organizational structure, the Ministry of Construction has 23 affiliated units. Of these, 19 units are organizations that assist the Minister in performing the State management function; 4 units are public service units serving the State management function of the Ministry.
Prime Minister assigns social housing "KPI" to localities
On February 27, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 444 assigning targets for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030 for localities to add to their socio-economic development targets.
According to the decision, this year the Prime Minister assigned localities to complete 100,275 social housing units. Of which, Hanoi was assigned to complete 4,670 units, Ho Chi Minh City was assigned to complete 2,874 units, Hai Phong City was assigned to complete 10,158 units, Da Nang City was assigned to complete 1,500 units...

The Prime Minister assigned the target of 995,445 apartments for localities to complete in the 2025-2030 period. For each locality, from now until 2030, Hanoi must complete 56,200 apartments; Ho Chi Minh City must complete 69,700 apartments; Hai Phong City must complete 33,500 apartments; Da Nang City must complete 12,800 apartments...
Series of localities organize land auctions
On March 1, Thanh Oai District (Hanoi) organized an auction of 54 plots of land in Ngo Ba area, Thanh Than village, Thanh Cao commune. The plots of land range in area from 60m2 to 85m2, with starting prices of 10.9-16.3 million VND/m2. The deposit for each plot of land ranges from 130 million to 265 million VND.

At the end of the auction, the land plot with the highest winning price reached 90.3 million VND/m2, with a total value of more than 7.2 billion VND, 5.5 times higher than the starting price. Previously, in the auction in August 2024, this land plot was paid up to 100.5 million VND/m2.
The remaining plots of land had winning prices ranging from VND59.3 million to VND87.3 million per square meter, most of which were more than five times higher than the starting price. Despite unfavorable weather conditions with heavy rain, the auction still attracted about 350 participants.
On the morning of February 24, Phuc Tho district (Hanoi) organized an auction of 12 land plots in Dong Phuong area, Tho Loc commune (now Tich Loc commune); 7 land plots in Doc Tranh area, Trach My Loc commune and one land plot in Huong Nam area, Xuan Phu commune (now Xuan Dinh commune).
Starting price ranges from 19.8-25 million VND/m2, step price 200,000 VND/m2. Deposit for each plot of land is 270-984 million VND/plot of land.
A representative of the Land Fund Development Center of Phuc Tho district said that the land plot with the highest winning price, coded DG27, in Doc Tranh area, Trach My Loc commune (phase 2), had a winning price of 46.8 million VND/m2. Other land plots had winning prices ranging from 23 million VND to 41.2 million VND/m2. The auction attracted more than 100 bidders.
Many localities such as Son Tay town, Me Linh district (Hanoi) and Phu Cu, Khoai Chau, An Thi districts (Hung Yen province) also announced to organize auctions of a total of 469 land lots in March.
