On December 25, the People's Committee of Buon Ho town organized a workshop on solutions to preserve and promote the historical value of Rossi Plantation in conjunction with the orientation of tourism development in Buon Ho town until 2030.

Rossi Plantation (Tran Hung Dao Street, Dat Hieu Ward, Buon Ho Town) was established by the French in 1926, including the following items: House and office of the plantation owner, kitchen, stone warehouse, well, water tower. In 2018, Rossi Plantation was ranked as a provincial historical relic by the Provincial People's Committee.
Rossi plantation was a coffee and rubber plantation of the French colonialists to implement the policy of further promoting the exploitation of the colonies in Indochina. Through two resistance wars against the French colonialists and the Americans, the plantation workers promoted the spirit of fighting against oppression and exploitation, protecting the rights of workers, gaining independence, gaining power, becoming a solid base of the Party and the revolutionary government of Dak Lak province. Here, a party cell, a Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch and a guerrilla base were established, ready to fight under the glorious flag of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Currently, the architecture of all the original construction items of the plantation still retains its original structure and functions have not been changed. However, after 98 years of existence, due to the impacts of the environment and humans, the items have been slightly degraded. The Town People's Committee has also restored and repaired the housing items and the office of the plantation owner...
At the workshop, delegates focused on exchanging, discussing and proposing solutions to preserve and promote the value of the Rossi Plantation Historical Relic associated with the development of Buon Ho town tourism such as: orienting the work of restoration, embellishment, conservation and promotion of the value of the Rossi Plantation Historical Relic; mobilizing donations, collecting, editing and displaying documents and artifacts related to the formation and development of the Rossi Plantation; preserving and promoting the Rossi Plantation Historical Relic associated with extracurricular education for students; mobilizing resources to invest in restoration, conservation and promotion of the relic's value; propagating and raising awareness of people and tourists; the role of youth in preserving and promoting the value of the Rossi Plantation...

The entire town of Buon Ho currently has 5 historical relics and provincial-level scenic spots; the work of preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural values has been focused on, a number of festivals, rituals, folk tunes... have been restored. In recent times, the town has been promoting the image of Buon Ho town, festivals, scenic spots, historical and cultural relics, especially provincial-level relics to attract tourists to visit and travel, contributing to the development of the local economy and society.
Through the workshop, we aim to create a premise for new directions, practical and effective solutions in developing tourism in the town in general and preserving and promoting the value of the Rossi Plantation Historical Site in particular.
