The new Vietnam Military History Museum in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi officially opens to serve residents and tourists from tomorrow, November 1.

The new Vietnam Military History Museum is located next to Thang Long Avenue, in Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
Accordingly, in the first opening (phase 1), the museum will display 6 themes following the historical process from the early days of founding and defending the country to the period of building and defending the country from 1976 to the present day.
The new museum will use a variety of Apply technology, such as 3D mapping or 3D movies to display.
Currently, the Vietnam Military History Museum is preserving and displaying more than 150,000 artifacts.
Among them are four national treasures including two MIG-21 aircraft with serial numbers 4324 and 5121, a T54B tank with serial number 843, and a map of determination to fight in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
Artifacts of aircraft, tanks and many large types of weapons captured during the resistance wars, associated with many important historical events and figures, will be displayed in two square areas with an area of over 20,000m2 .
The museum also deployed automatic commentary software, eliminating the need for a tour guide. Visitors will use a device that can listen to all the commentary as well as information about the documents and artifacts on display.


The Vietnam Military History Museum is built on a 38.66ha land area with a main building of 4 floors above ground and 1 ground floor, construction area of 23,198m2 , floor area of about 64,640m2 , indoor display area of 17,750m2 , outdoor display area of 118,054m2 .
In addition, there is a system of yards, roads, parking lots, landscape pools, trees, electronic equipment systems, civil electricity, and modern fire protection systems built synchronously.

The inauguration of the Vietnam Military History Museum is an important event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
