On the afternoon of September 28, athlete Nguyen Van Khanh Phong won the silver medal in the single rings event of gymnastics.

During the test, Khanh Phong successfully performed many difficult moves and landed impressively.
But initially, the Organizing Committee only gave the Vietnamese athlete 14,300 points, behind Lan Xingyu (China), who was given 15,433 points.
However, while waiting for other competitors to compete, the Organizing Committee suddenly announced that Khanh Phong's score would be increased to 14,600 points.
With this achievement, the athlete from Ho Chi Minh City won the silver medal. Notably, the bronze medal winner was Japanese athlete Wataru with a score of 14,300, equal to Khanh Phong's score before being changed by the Organizing Committee.
Previously, in the pommel horse event of Gymnastics, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien regretfully missed out on a medal when he finished 4th overall.
Meanwhile, Trinh Hai Khang scored 13,800 points, ranking 6th out of 8 athletes in the freestyle gymnastics final.
Kim Hansol (South Korea) won the gold medal with 14,900 points. Two Chinese athletes won the silver and bronze medals.
In the Dream Three Kingdoms esports event, the Vietnamese esports team beat Kyrgyzstan 2-0 in the quarterfinals.
In the League of Legends event, Vietnam lost to Taiwan (China) 0-2 in the semi-finals and met China in the bronze medal match.
