On December 26, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity held its 11th meeting on the situation and results of the implementation of the 2024 work program and key tasks for 2025. Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee, chaired.
In 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity will operate in accordance with working regulations, in a disciplined, systematic, scientific manner, with clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities and be more effective; promptly and fully issue leadership and direction documents on the implementation of anti-corruption, wastefulness and negativity work; proactively and promptly institutionalize the Party's guidelines and policies into State laws. Solutions to prevent corruption, waste and negativity in various fields are given attention and focus. The effectiveness of comprehensive state management in all areas of work is improved.
On the basis of closely following the new directions of the Central, Provincial Party Committee and the practical situation of Quang Ninh province, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee has proactively proposed to implement inspections and supervisions such as: Supervision of the implementation of real estate rearrangement and handling; supervision of the implementation of inspection conclusions and recommendations of the State Audit from 2015 to present, in conjunction with reviewing and agreeing on plans to handle complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations to serve the work of personnel appraisal for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. The work of detecting, transferring, receiving, and handling denunciations and reports of crimes, and recommending prosecution of cases with signs of crimes related to corruption, positions, economics, and negativity by competent agencies must comply with the provisions of law. The work of recovering lost and misappropriated assets in corruption and positions cases has achieved high results.
Regarding the tasks in 2025, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee, emphasized the consistent viewpoint of continuing to synchronously and drastically implement solutions to improve the effectiveness of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; ensuring timely resolution of cases of public concern and public concern, but minimizing impacts on the normal operations of agencies and enterprises, best serving the task of socio-economic development. In addition, promoting the work of preventing and combating waste; determining that preventing and combating waste has an equivalent position to preventing and combating corruption and negativity; building a culture of integrity, no corruption, waste, negativity among cadres, party members and people, creating a strong spread in society.
Regarding some specific tasks, the Provincial Party Secretary requested Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units to focus on leading and directing the full and timely institutionalization of the Party's guidelines and policies on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity. Strengthen administrative discipline and order; strictly handle acts of harassment, negativity and causing trouble for people and businesses. At the same time, overcome the situation of working half-heartedly, avoiding, fearing mistakes and not daring to do things among a number of cadres and civil servants.
Strengthening the review and having plans to promptly and thoroughly resolve petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections on cases of public concern, especially complicated and prolonged complaints and denunciations, in order to stabilize the political security situation and social order to better serve the preparation for Party congresses at all levels. Directing the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of Party inspection and supervision and State inspection, focusing on inspection and supervision in areas, localities, and work positions where corruption, negativity, and waste are likely to occur and are of public concern. Strictly implementing the coordination mechanism to detect and handle corruption and negativity in the process of inspection, supervision, examination, audit, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments.
The Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee also requested to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of detecting, transferring, receiving, and handling denunciations and reports of crimes, and recommending the prosecution of cases with signs of crimes related to corruption, positions, economics, negativity, and waste. Proactively review and propose to bring complicated corruption, waste, and negative cases and cases of public concern to the Provincial Steering Committee for monitoring. The members of the Steering Committee urgently develop individual work programs and plans to implement assigned tasks according to the 2025 work program of the Steering Committee.
