On February 4, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Secretariat, assessing the implementation of Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Secretariat on organizing the Lunar New Year 2025; and directing a number of key tasks of the Central Committee and Party committees at all levels in the coming time.
The conference assessed that Party committees and authorities at all levels have proactively and promptly organized the dissemination and serious and full implementation of the guiding spirit of Directive No. 40-CT/TW; well prepared conditions to serve people to celebrate Tet joyfully, healthily, safely and economically with the spirit of "Everyone, every family has Tet" .
Party and State leaders, leaders of Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels promptly visited, wished a happy new year, and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries and workers who could not return home for Tet; visited and encouraged people in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas, and forces on duty during Tet.
Social policies during Tet were implemented "correctly, sufficiently, and promptly". Localities supported and gave Tet gifts to over 13.5 million beneficiaries with a total budget of nearly 8,000 billion VND .
The market for goods is rich, quality is guaranteed, there is no shortage of goods or price fever; traffic, electricity, and basic communication are smooth; traffic safety, fire prevention, and food hygiene and safety have made much progress compared to previous years.
The forces strictly maintain on-duty regime, regularly monitor, grasp the situation, promptly and effectively handle situations, and avoid being passive or surprised.
The political security, order and social safety situation throughout the country during Tet was stable; there were no unusual developments, no complicated or serious incidents.
Localities, agencies, units and businesses all organize to be on duty during Tet, starting production at the beginning of the year with excitement and high determination.
This year's Tet holiday has seen an increase in the number of key national projects and works working and constructing throughout Tet, organizing "3 shifts, 4 shifts", such as the North-South Expressway, Long Thanh International Airport, Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3, etc.
Concluding the conference, General Secretary To Lam commended and highly appreciated all levels, sectors, agencies, units and localities for thoroughly grasping and seriously and effectively implementing the Directive No. 40-CT/TW. The Lunar New Year 2025, associated with activities celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, is organized carefully, safely, and healthily, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere throughout the Party, the people, and the army. It can be said that the success of the Lunar New Year activities is a favorable starting point for a new year full of success for the country.
The General Secretary noted a number of issues that need to be evaluated and lessons learned to improve: Promoting the positive effects of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, forming awareness of strict compliance with traffic laws; synchronously implementing solutions to reduce congestion and traffic accidents.
Continue to intensify the attack and suppression of crime, especially cyber fraud; criminals taking advantage of festivals to operate; do not let complex crime activities return after Tet.
It is necessary to make a comprehensive assessment of consumer demand and purchasing power during Tet to have solutions for production management, market orientation, and "stimulating" domestic consumption...
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, basically agreeing with the 9 groups of tasks set out, the General Secretary requested agencies, units and localities to immediately get to work, not allowing the situation of Tet holiday to last longer; focusing on completing the work of February and the first quarter of 2025 on schedule; organizing the early year festivals to ensure safety and economy...
Ministries, sectors and localities need to focus on implementing Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Central Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and plans to reorganize the apparatus of the political system, ensuring that agencies after reorganization can operate immediately, without interruption or omission of tasks.
Continue to do well in political and ideological education; implement well the regime and policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers affected by the organizational restructuring.
Carefully prepare the contents of the National Assembly session in February 2025, especially those related to organizational arrangement and removing institutional difficulties and obstacles.
Promote the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, especially tasks to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
The General Secretary emphasized that all levels, sectors and localities need to resolutely implement policies and solutions to achieve the GDP growth target of over 8% in 2025, creating momentum for double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period; deploy solutions to disburse public investment capital from the beginning of the year, and remove bottlenecks for socio-economic development.
Continue to lead and direct the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 and revised contents on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; effectively put into use software to monitor the progress of party congresses at all levels via the VNeID application.
Strengthen propaganda work, orient public opinion, consolidate trust and social consensus on national development goals; effectively combat false and hostile arguments, bad and toxic information, especially on the internet.
