The program Melody of Pride in May will be broadcast on VTV1 on the evening of May 26.
Besides the character interview reports, recounting Uncle Ho's feelings for the Vietnam People's Army, Proud Melody also recreates many songs that have been with us through the years: Forgetting ourselves for the people, Soldiers returning to the village, Stepping on the Truong Son range ...
Uncle Ho is close, with the character of a fairy.
The May Proud Melody program depicts Uncle Ho's portrait through the stories of witnesses.
Major General Nguyen Van Ninh - former deputy director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army - met Uncle Ho at the Army Cultural School located in Lang Son.
At that time, Uncle Ho came to visit unexpectedly. When the car stopped, Uncle Ho said, "Please take me to the kitchen."
Mr. Ninh said: "On the long tables, the flies were so dense that Uncle Ho walked and fanned them. The girls in the kitchen were very scared, but Uncle Ho only told them that next time he visited, they would make sure there were no more flies. The atmosphere was very happy."
Major General Nguyen Van Ninh said that when he met Uncle Ho, he was impressed by "Uncle Ho's beard and hair were very beautiful. More beautiful than any photo. Uncle Ho had the demeanor of a fairy, never angry with his subordinates but very loving and tolerant".
Later, whenever Mr. Ninh encountered difficulties, thinking about the badges that Uncle Ho had awarded him, he had a tremendous strength that helped him complete any task.

Colonel Nguyen Xuan Mai, former editor-in-chief of the Air Defense - Air Force newspaper, talks about the "historic photo" in his career.
In 1965, despite being over 70 years old, Uncle Ho still went to the anti-aircraft artillery site at Bach Mai airport (Hanoi) to encourage soldiers in the first SAM-2 missile regiment of our army before they left for battle.
At that time, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Mai was a reporter for the Air Defense - Air Force. Uncle Ho visited an artillery battery. After talking to the soldiers, he stood up and asked the battery commander: "Are the helmets on your heads here heavy? Are they hot?" Then Uncle Ho picked up the helmet and put it on his head.
At that moment, Mr. Mai took that meaningful photo. It was July 19, 1965, and he still remembers it clearly.

Uncle Ho said the South was in his heart, and everyone who heard it was moved and set off.
Colonel Nguyen Viet Sinh (from Nghe An) enlisted in 1961 and was one of the first Truong Son soldiers to carry goods to the South.
After training, he joined Group 559 with the mission of transporting goods across the Truong Son mountain range connecting the South and North.
He said that at that time, guns, ammunition, food, etc. for the South could only be carried in by human power. The pass was too steep, and if not careful, the person in front would overwhelm the person behind.
When going downhill, the person behind almost stepped on the head of the person in front. It was cold and rainy. On the Truong Son mountain range, it was pouring rain and windy.
"At first, some of us could only carry 15-20kg of goods. Some could only carry 5kg. Later, as I trained them, some could carry 15-20kg, 30-40kg, and even 50kg," Mr. Sinh recalled.
He said he walked 40kg every day. The Truong Son soldiers all tried to gradually increase the amount of goods on their shoulders. The slogan at that time was "one bullet is one enemy, one kilo of goods means less bloodshed for the people of the South".

At his peak, in 1965, he carried more than 75kg per day while he weighed only 57 - 58kg.
In 4 years, with 1,089 working days, Mr. Nguyen Viet Sinh carried 55 tons of goods on his back, traveling a distance of 41,025km, equivalent to one round of the earth along the equator.
On January 1, 1967, Colonel Nguyen Viet Sinh was one of the first three Truong Son soldiers of Group 559 to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by President Ho Chi Minh.
He was recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records Center as the Truong Son liaison soldier who carried goods and led troops the longest distance.
He said that at that time, when entering the battlefield at Uncle Ho's call, no one thought they were doing it for achievements or titles... Uncle said "The South is in my heart", every Vietnamese person has a heart, whoever heard it was moved and set off.
