On the morning of July 29, the Hanoi National Assembly delegation held a meeting to complete the position of Head of the XV National Assembly delegation.
According to the submission of the city's National Assembly delegation, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, National Assembly delegate of the Hanoi delegation was nominated to be elected as Head of the city's National Assembly delegation.
After voting and conducting a secret ballot, 100% of the delegates present elected Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai as Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Hanoi City for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the ceremony to accept the assignment, expressing the honor of being elected by the delegates to hold the position of Head of the delegation, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that the city's National Assembly delegation is a special delegation as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has been a National Assembly delegate for 22 years.
"With deep respect, gratitude, and infinite sorrow for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, an exceptionally outstanding leader, a loyal and genuine communist, a lifelong representative for the country and the people, I vow to continuously study and follow the moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh, following the bright example of the General Secretary to strive to overcome all difficulties and hardships, and successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the people," the Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed.
Assessing the Hanoi National Assembly delegation as the largest in the country, playing an important role in the activities of the National Assembly, Ms. Hoai said that the delegation has a structure of delegates who are intellectuals, with very high academic titles and degrees.
Among them, many full-time and part-time delegates from the central government, ministries, departments, branches and agencies of the National Assembly are all experienced and have participated in many National Assembly terms.
"This is a great honor but also a very heavy responsibility, because I accept the task with high requirements for Party building work, ensuring national defense and security of a city that is the political, economic and cultural center of the capital, the heart of the whole country," said Ms. Hoai.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said he will make every effort, closely coordinate with the leaders of the Delegation and National Assembly deputies, uphold principles, promote exemplary vanguard spirit, and perform tasks according to the working regulations of National Assembly deputies and the city's National Assembly Delegation.
Ms. Hoai pledged to make efforts with the delegation's leadership to fully and comprehensively perform the tasks prescribed by the Constitution and laws, continuing to innovate and improve the quality of participation in law-making and voter contact activities before and after the session.
Along with that, strengthen the urging of settlement in conjunction with monitoring the responsibility of organizations and individuals with the authority to resolve petitions, complaints, denunciations, and recommendations on issues related to the legitimate rights and interests of voters and people.
The Head of the City National Assembly Delegation hopes and requests that National Assembly deputies, National Assembly agencies, central ministries, departments, branches and city agencies help complete the assigned tasks.
Previously, on July 17, the Politburo transferred and assigned Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, to cease participating in the Secretariat and cease holding the position of Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission; transferred, assigned, and appointed her to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
On July 19, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a Resolution on transferring the activities of the National Assembly delegation of Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, from the Dak Lak Provincial National Assembly delegation to the Hanoi City National Assembly delegation.
