TPO - On the morning of December 25, at the headquarters of Vietnam News Agency (Hanoi), the 7th Golden Moment press photo award ceremony in 2024 took place.

The Golden Moment Press Photo Award has entered its 7th year. This is a great playground for journalists and photographers to demonstrate their talents, expertise and unique perspectives through press photo works. Thereby vividly reflecting all aspects of political, economic, cultural - social, scientific - technical, sports life... across the country. In the photo is Ms. Vu Viet Trang, member of the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies, Party Secretary, General Director of VNA, speaking at the award ceremony.

The single photo "Music connects people" by Pham Tuan Anh (Hanoi) won first prize in the single photo category.

Author Pham Ngoc Thanh (Hanoi) with the photo series “The soldiers wade in the mud to search for the bodies of the victims of Lang Nu” won first prize in the photo series category. General Director of VNA Vu Viet Trang and Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi presented two first prizes to the authors.

According to General Director Vu Viet Trang, the enthusiastic response and participation of photographers has shown the influence of the Award. Moreover, this is also a demonstration of the authors' responsibility towards society, towards the vibrant transformation of the country in all fields through the moments depicted in each frame.

With 3,435 works, both single photos and photo series, by 431 authors, the jury made fair selections based on important criteria, such as theme, method of expression, photography technique and the ability to convey the works.

From that elaborate selection, the organizing committee and the jury, including prestigious experts, journalists and photographers, conducted thorough evaluation and discussion and decided to select 22 outstanding works to award prizes and display and honor at today's award ceremony.
