According to The Verge , AMD may unveil some new Radeon graphics cards next week. AMD Senior Vice President Scott Herkelman recently said in a post on the social network X that the Radeon team will make some "big product announcements" at the Gamescom 2023 conference.
While AMD hasn't given any details about what's coming, it's likely that new Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards will be unveiled. During an earnings call earlier this month, CEO Lisa Su said the company would unveil "enthusiast-grade Radeon 7000 series graphics cards in Q3."
AMD to Unveil New Radeon Graphics Cards
A previously leaked listing of new AMD graphics cards appeared on PowerColor, and has since been removed. The leak provided a glimpse at the RX 7800 XT Red Devil chip images and specifications for the company’s upcoming products.
Specifically, the listing says the RDNA3 GPU comes with 3840 stream processors and 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM on a 256-bit memory interface, along with a base clock of 2,210 MHz and a boost clock of 2,565 MHz. If these specs are accurate, the chip will slot between the Radeon RX 7900 GRE and Radeon RX 7600.
Along with the new GPU launch, AMD is also expected to release a new version of its FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) upscaling technology. It is also rumored that the FSR 3 launch will coincide with the release of Starfield on September 6.
