On January 26, within the framework of the Da Nang Meeting 2024 event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Da Nang People's Committee and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to establish a strategic partnership on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, serving the goal of sustainable and comprehensive socio-economic development of Da Nang City and effectively implementing the Da Nang City planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 through programs and projects supported by ADB.
As a trusted development partner, ADB is committed to mobilizing and supporting Da Nang City to implement programs and projects to address climate change challenges. Notably, ADB is committed to supporting Da Nang City in finding solutions to sustainably reduce poverty and inequality, promote rural development and food security, build a "livable city", and promote progress in gender equality, etc.
In the series of activities of the event, on the morning of January 26, the People's Committee of Da Nang City also held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence; a signing ceremony for a cooperation program on microchip and semiconductor training between the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks with Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company and Duy Tan University. At the conference in the afternoon of the same day, the People's Committee of Da Nang City signed a memorandum of understanding with international organizations (ADB, USAID) and large enterprises (Synopsys International Limited, Intel Corporation); and granted an investment approval certificate to KP Aero Company (Korea) for an aerospace project worth 20 million USD.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City awarded certificates of merit to express gratitude to foreign representative agencies, international organizations, foreign-invested enterprises... who have contributed to the city's socio-economic development.
