6 important dates to remember for candidates taking the 10th grade exam in Hanoi in 2025

2025 is the year of the first batch of students under the new general education program to take the graduation exam. It is expected that the whole city will have about 127,000 students taking the secondary school graduation exam, of which 79,000 will be admitted to public grade 10, and 48,000 will study at private high schools, vocational education centers, and continuing education centers.

This year, Hanoi organized the entrance exam for public grade 10 on June 7-8, 3 days earlier than last year. The exam consists of three subjects, compulsory Math, Literature and Foreign Language.

On the morning of June 7, candidates will take the Literature exam for 120 minutes, and in the afternoon, the third subject will be taken for 60 or 90 minutes. On the morning of June 8, candidates will only take the Math exam, with a time limit of 120 minutes.

Candidates can register 3 wishes to enter non-specialized public high schools, in which wishes 1 and 2 must be in the prescribed enrollment area; wish 3 can be in any enrollment area.

Candidates for specialized schools can register 2 wishes, to 2 out of 4 specialized high schools in Hanoi, or 2 wishes to the same specialized school.
