On the morning of June 4, the Nhan Ai medical team of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Binh Thuan and Binh Thuan General Hospital to organize free eye examinations and surgeries for poor patients in Binh Thuan.
The program has 500 patients in the province screened for eye diseases and about 250 patients have eye surgery. Doctors prescribe eye surgery for cases of artificial lens replacement and pterygium removal.
According to Binh Thuan General Hospital, to ensure the successful organization of eye examinations and surgeries, the hospital mobilizes human resources, prepares facilities and equipment. For example, the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation prepares operating rooms, the Department of Ophthalmology monitors and supports the reception of patients after surgery, the Department of Laboratory Medicine supports blood collection, etc.
This is a meaningful activity, spreading the spirit of humanity, joining hands for the poor, contributing to sharing difficulties and bringing light to many poor people and people in difficult circumstances in the area.
