Clearance of more than 1,200 import and export vehicles per day
The latest report of the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone Management Board shows that the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods cleared through customs on December 5, 2023 through border gates in Lang Son province was 1,215 vehicles. Of which, the number of vehicles with export goods was 405 vehicles (including 271 fruit vehicles, 134 other cargo vehicles); the number of imported vehicles was 810 vehicles (including: 798 cargo vehicles, 12 new vehicles).

Notably, at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods through customs is 681. Of which, the number of vehicles transporting export goods is 128 (including: 38 fruit vehicles, 90 vehicles of other goods); the number of import vehicles is 553 (including: 541 cargo vehicles, 12 new vehicles). The number of vehicles turning around (transferring to another border gate): 0 vehicles.
At Tan Thanh Sub-border Gate, the total number of vehicles transporting export and import goods through customs is 452, of which, the number of vehicles carrying export goods is 268 (including 233 fruit vehicles, 35 vehicles of other goods); the number of vehicles carrying import goods is 184; the number of vehicles turning around (transferring to another border gate): 0 vehicles.

The People's Committee of Lang Son province said that in November 2023, import-export activities continued to be maintained and developed at 6 border gates including: Huu Nghi international border gate, Dong Dang international railway station, Chi Ma main border gate, Tan Thanh, Coc Nam, Na Hinh sub-border gates.
Total import-export turnover through the province in November is estimated at 440 million USD, of which export is estimated at 280 million USD, import is estimated at 160 million USD; accumulated 11 months is estimated at 4,595 million USD, reaching 120.9% of the plan, up 70.6% over the same period, of which export is estimated at 2,680 million USD, reaching 206.2% of the plan, up 214.2%; import is estimated at 1,915 million USD, reaching 76.6% of the plan, up 4%.
Mr. Vy Cong Tuong, Deputy Director of Lang Son Provincial Customs Department, said that Lang Son Provincial Customs Department will continue to closely follow the direction of the Ministry of Finance, General Department of Customs, Provincial Party Committee, and Provincial People's Committee to have solutions and plans to facilitate import and export activities, contributing to the completion of the assigned task of collecting the state budget.
At the same time, continue to promote administrative reform, customs modernization, trade facilitation, smooth operation of the electronic customs clearance system associated with the implementation of the Digital Border Gate Platform to maximize convenience for import and export activities.
On the other hand, assign civil servants to promptly support and immediately resolve any problems arising during customs procedures; strengthen information exchange and closely coordinate with functional forces at border gates to quickly carry out customs clearance procedures for import and export goods.
Coordinate with warehouse businesses at the border gate to arrange areas and locations to facilitate storage and preservation of agricultural products while awaiting export according to regulations; coordinate with Border Guard and Police forces to regulate traffic for vehicles entering and exiting the border gate area without congestion, ensuring security and order, and preventing instability that affects the import and export activities of businesses.
In addition, continue to recommend that import and export organizations and individuals proactively coordinate, grasp and exchange information with competent authorities on the market situation, import and export activities, and the situation at border gates to promptly adjust production and business plans in accordance with reality, minimizing arising damages. Use customs clearance agents licensed by the General Department of Customs to carry out import and export procedures to avoid related legal risks, ensuring professionalism and transparency.
Promote solutions to support business development
Also according to the People's Committee of Lang Son province, the province's industrial production index in November increased by 9.42% compared to November 2022, and in the first 11 months, it increased by 7.28% over the same period, of which the mining industry increased by 6.83%; processing and manufacturing increased by 11.37%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 2.37%.
Up to now, 6 industrial clusters have been established, investment policies have been decided, investors have been selected, and infrastructure investment progress of the established industrial clusters has been continued to be monitored and urged. Appraisal of procedures for approving investment policies to establish 4 industrial clusters has been carried out.
Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in November is estimated at VND 3,473.2 billion, accumulated for 11 months VND 31,573.7 billion, reaching 117.4% of the plan, up 28.85% over the same period.
As of November 22, 2023, the province has registered 623 new enterprises, reaching 124% of the plan, up 45% over the same period, with a total registered capital of VND 5,662 billion, up 18%. In total, the province has 4,130 enterprises, with a total registered capital of VND 49,300 billion, and 785 branches and representative offices registered for operation.
In addition, 39 new cooperatives were established, reaching 97.5% of the plan, down 35% over the same period, with a total registered capital of 79.8 billion VND, down 49.6%, and 6 cooperatives were dissolved; the province currently has 493 cooperatives, with a total registered capital of 1,109.4 billion VND, and 2 cooperative unions.
Since the beginning of the year, 13 new investment policies/investment certificates have been granted, with a total investment capital of VND 6,707.17 billion (an increase of VND 5,167.92 billion over the same period); 24 projects have been adjusted, with an additional capital of VND 148.96 billion; and 21 projects have had their investment registration certificates revoked.
In addition, in November, 151,230 tourists were attracted; estimated revenue reached 135.7 billion VND. In the first 11 months, 3,764,820 tourists were attracted, reaching 100.13% of the plan, up 10.15% over the same period; estimated tourism revenue reached 2,999 billion VND, reaching 105.22% of the plan, up 49.59%.
In the coming time, Lang Son province will support investors, speed up the implementation of VSIP Lang Son Industrial Park project and established industrial clusters. Urgently speed up the approval of investment policy for Na Duong 1 and Na Duong 3 industrial clusters; continue to urge the completion of documents to establish 2 industrial clusters Minh Son and the industrial cluster southeast of Dong Mo town; guide investors interested in researching and surveying renewable energy projects.
At the same time, continue to effectively implement solutions to improve the business investment environment, improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI), assess the competitiveness of departments, branches and People's Committees of districts and cities (DDCI). Promote solutions to support business development, promptly resolve recommendations from the business community. Focus on attracting investors and urging to speed up the implementation of non-budget investment projects.
