On January 4, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously opened the Traditional Camp to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnamese Students' Day (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
This year's camp has nearly 10,000 outstanding students attending.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the camp is not only an opportunity to review the glorious historical tradition, but also an opportunity to honor exemplary students in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. The event aims to create an environment for exchange, strengthen solidarity among students, and at the same time spread the message of emulation to study well, practice well, build happy schools and join hands for the community.
This year's camp has the theme: "50 Years of Unification - Proud of the Past - Firm Steps into the Future" with the participation of nearly 10,000 outstanding students and trainees from 206 educational institutions, including secondary schools, high schools, Continuing Education Centers and Continuing Vocational Education-Training Centers in the city. The camp is held in 8 camp clusters.
Ms. Bui Minh Tam, Principal of Le Quy Don High School, District 3, said that the camp is an opportunity for teachers and students of the schools to review the heroic historical traditions of the nation.
The leader of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that in the 2024-2025 school year, educational institutions will organize welcoming activities at the unit, compete to achieve achievements, and at the same time promote the communication of the Camp message through specific and practical activities.
