Yen Bai enhances the effectiveness of social policy credit

Yen Bai - The People's Committee of Yen Bai province has just issued a plan to implement Directive No. 39-CT/TW of the Secretariat on improving the effectiveness of social policy credit in the new period. The main objective of the plan is to enhance the role of policy credit, contribute to sustainable poverty reduction, promote socio-economic development and ensure social security in the province.

Social policy credit capital has helped many households in the province escape poverty sustainably.

According to the plan, authorities at all levels in Yen Bai will step up the dissemination of the importance of policy credit. People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are responsible for carefully reviewing poor households, near-poor households and other policy beneficiaries to ensure that capital is allocated to the right subjects and purposes. The provincial branch of the Bank for Social Policies will simplify loan procedures and strengthen inspection and supervision of loan use.

In particular, the plan focuses on promoting digital transformation in management activities to improve efficiency. An important highlight of the plan is increasing financial resources for policy credit.

Yen Bai province expects that the capital entrusted from the local budget will account for 15% to 20% of the total credit growth each year. The target is that by 2030, this ratio will reach at least 15% of the total policy credit capital. In addition, the province will strengthen close coordination between departments, branches, sectors and socio-political organizations to support borrowers in developing production, accessing advanced science and technology and finding markets for products.

The implementation of this plan is expected to create a strong driving force for poverty reduction, promote the development of the rural economy and improve the quality of life of Yen Bai people.
