All night at the largest wholesale flower market in Ho Chi Minh City on the eve of Tet

At midnight on January 26 (December 27), at Ho Thi Ky flower market (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), flower buyers were still bustling and busy. This is the largest flower wholesale market in Ho Chi Minh City, meeting all the flower-playing needs of the people. Prices here are all publicly listed, buyers do not haggle, sellers do not bargain.

Miniature Nhat Tan peach trees are transported from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City by air, so they remain as fresh as if they were just cut. This year, the price of cut peach trees is quite high, almost double compared to last year's Tet, but the quantity is not much due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi last year. The price of each beautiful peach branch is from 800,000 to 1 million VND, the small type is about 400,000 VND.

Most customers do not haggle but buy immediately when they find a peach blossom branch they like because as soon as they put it down, someone else will buy it. "Today, the shop has sold nearly a hundred peach blossom branches because this item is popular, so tomorrow, we may run out of cut peach blossom branches," said Ms. Trang, an employee at a flower shop.

Peach blossoms are gradually blooming, waiting for buyers to bring home to decorate for Tet.

"Every year my family buys peach blossoms to display on Tet holiday, even though the price of peach blossoms is high now, but the tree is very beautiful, has many buds, and big flowers, so I am very satisfied" - said a female customer.

Other flowers such as orange chrysanthemum, willow, snow mai... cost from 20,000 - 120,000 VND/bunch. Some customers buy 4-5 bunches to display throughout the house to celebrate Tet .

The orange chrysanthemum has large petals with bright yellow color that attract customers, especially the price is very cheap, only 20,000 VND/ bunch. "Buy 5 bunches for only 100,000 VND, so cheap" - Ms. Han Nhien (living in District 10) happily said.

Customers are happy to buy beautiful flowers at very low prices.

Many customers like to shop at night because of the cool weather. "Although crowded, going to the night market has its own fun. Nowadays, everywhere is very bustling from the flower market to the supermarket and that's how I can feel the bustling atmosphere of the end of the year as well as the approaching Tet" - Ms. Thanh Hoa (living in Phu Nhuan district) said.

Willows cost only 100,000 VND/bunch, much cheaper than last year.

Not only buying flowers, customers also buy leaves to arrange flowers in vases according to their preferences.

Early morning, Ho Thi Ky flower market is still quite crowded with people shopping.
