Many iOS security holes are being exploited by hackers. Recently, in the iPhone repair service industry in Vietnam, a new tool has appeared, capable of disabling Apple's remote locking feature. The method of performing this type of trick is increasingly simple, with short waiting times.
According to iPhone repair experts, this application creates a simple tool to crack iCloud lock on Apple phones. This is also a danger because iPhones from stolen sources can be exploited more easily.

Unlock iCloud in just 30 minutes
Currently, there are many channels to perform this trick. According to the introduction of a long-time iPhone repairman, on the anonymous messaging application, there are many accounts providing services for professionals. These are the ones that provide instructions and support tools to unlock. At the same time, these people charge a fee for each Apple device that can “disable” iCloud.
Specifically, disabling Apple's remote management account is done through software called Read**** Tool, which can run on Windows computers and MacBooks. Technicians need to check the IMEI number and send this information along with the device code to the unlock server.

Next, they connect the device to the Read**** Tool software, do a few more steps to remove the iCloud account from the device. Normally, the service provider informs the time for the iPhone to be unlocked is about 30 minutes. While previous services take many hours to perform.
In addition, the core of this trick is the step of unlocking the IMEI through the server. The implementation principle, the way the IMEI code is unlocked is still a secret of the supplier. For each iPhone, the renter must pay a large amount of money in advance to "run" the IMEI number. According to the price list provided, the implementation cost is based on the value and generation of the Apple device.
For example, to unlock an iCloud-locked iPhone 7, users need to pay 1.1 million VND. Meanwhile, the price for the above service, the iPhone 14 Pro Max model needs 9.5 million VND. The service provider sets the cost at about 1/3 of the value of the device.
In addition to iPhones and iPads, Apple Watches can also be unlocked from iCloud, after being disabled remotely, using the same method. MacBooks are also supported, but the unlocking time is longer, taking 1-5 days. This tool has some limitations on locked devices (network locked) or iPhone models from China (CN code), it cannot be applied.

This type of unlocking tool first appeared in September 2022. At that time, domestic repairmen used software called Fl***hub. The tool automatically ran to wipe the old iCloud account on the device. After completing, users just need to restart the device to activate and use it like a normal iPhone.
“For security, Apple stores information about iCloud accounts in a special format, in a high-security partition. The limitation of this solution is that it is unstable and takes more time than the newly appeared Read**** Tool.

Remote locking via iCloud is one of the most advanced security methods that is difficult to bypass. Therefore, users whose iPhones are stolen can use this feature to prevent thieves from exploiting the device.
Stolen iPhones are often stripped of their internal components and sold at retail if iCloud cannot be unlocked. The existence of tools that make it easy to unlock iPhones could lead to more theft.
“When an iCloud-locked iPhone is unlocked, the device will be sold for a higher price than if it were disassembled. Therefore, it can increase the risk of expensive phone theft,” a representative of Dien Thoai Vui told Zing.
If users accidentally forget their lock screen password or iCloud password, they can request Apple to intervene and unlock it. Customers need to provide full invoices and proof of ownership of the device. After being confirmed by the company's warranty center or remote support, the device will be unlocked.
