Proposal to reduce 2% value added tax until the end of 2026:
Stimulate consumer demand, support business development

The Ministry of Finance has just proposed a 2% reduction in value-added tax from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026, including adding a number of groups of goods such as gasoline, oil, information technology products and services... to the tax reduction target.
According to the Ministry of Finance, these are goods and raw materials used for direct production and consumption. In particular, although gasoline and oil are subject to special consumption tax and are on the list of mining products, they are important items for many production and business sectors as well as people's lives. Increases or decreases in gasoline and oil prices will directly impact domestic production and consumption and macroeconomic stability.
Dr. Nguyen Van Hien, Vice Principal of Gia Dinh University, acknowledged that reducing value added tax is a very practical policy. This policy helps reduce the price level of goods in the market, thereby supporting demand stimulation, contributing to controlling inflation and developing the economy.
Implementing Program No. 01-CTr/TU of Hanoi Party Committee:
Continuously meet people's satisfaction

After more than 4 years of implementing Program No. 01-CTr/TU dated March 17, 2021 of the 17th Hanoi Party Committee on "Strengthening the work of Party building and rectification, building a clean and strong Party organization and political system of the city; promoting administrative reform in the period of 2021-2025", agencies and units have deployed many solutions and initiatives, promoting digital transformation to meet the satisfaction of organizations and citizens.
In recent times, from the city to the grassroots level, efforts have been made to implement the contents of administrative reform and have achieved many positive results.
The clear results after more than 4 years of implementing Program No. 01-CTr/TU are that the city has innovated the mechanism for receiving and handling administrative procedures in the direction of non-administrative boundaries, improving transparency in the process of handling records; aiming to build a digital government, promoting digital transformation in handling administrative procedures. Up to now, Hanoi has deployed 12 branches of the Public Administration Service Center.
Dike violations are increasingly complicated: Need to be handled more resolutely and strongly

Although all levels and sectors have pointed out violations and issued many directives, some localities still let incidents arise and have not yet completely handled violations. The situation of violations at Hanoi's riverbanks is quite complicated. In particular, recently, at some riverbanks, Hanoi dike inspectors have been assaulted and their lives have been threatened while performing their duties.
"To stabilize our spirit and complete the assigned tasks, we hope that the Hanoi City Police Department of Bac Tu Liem District and Thuong Cat Ward Police will investigate, verify, and strictly handle the subject who assaulted Mr. NTT...", Head of Dyke Management Department No. 4 Vu Van Anh suggested.
Ha Cau Ward (Ha Dong District):
More efforts to combat encroachment on sidewalks and roads

As an area in the central area of Ha Dong district, many streets in Ha Cau ward have become ideal business locations, often bustling with people from early morning to late at night.
On Nguyen Viet Xuan Street (from Dam Khe Lake to the La Khe Ward land use rights auction area in Ha Cau Ward), most of the sidewalks and roadsides have been encroached upon for the sale of goods and the provision of many types of services.
However, the situation of violations is still difficult. Since the beginning of 2025, the ward has deployed and maintained the assignment of forces to ensure traffic safety, public order, and urban order on 5 main streets and handled the content of citizens' reflections on the iHanoi application.
Me Tri - Do Duc Duc connecting road project: Don't continue to "miss appointments"

The project of the road connecting Me Tri street and Do Duc Duc street has been "missing the deadline" for more than 10 years. The roads are unfinished, the lighting system is temporary, people cannot buy and sell, and they cannot build or repair houses, seriously affecting the quality of life.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Th., a resident of one of the households to be relocated, said: "The project's slow progress has disrupted my family's life. The house is increasingly degraded but we cannot repair or rebuild it, so life is always makeshift. I hope the project will be implemented soon to stabilize our lives."
According to the report of the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board submitted to the Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee, the reason for the slow implementation of the project is that although the steps of compensation and site clearance all comply with the prescribed procedures, there are still many households whose compensation plans have not been approved for the following reasons: The remaining area after land acquisition is not eligible for housing construction; using a shared alley; not agreeing with the draft plan for the reason that there is no resettlement, low compensation support price...
