Kinhtedothi - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision 1319/QD-TTg dated November 1, 2024 on the provision of plant seeds from the national reserve to support Yen Bai province.
Accordingly, the Deputy Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to provide 137.25 tons of rice seeds from the national reserve free of charge to support Yen Bai province in restoring production due to the impact of storm No. 3.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance to handle the specific matters according to regulations; take responsibility for the information and reported data. The People's Committee of Yen Bai province is responsible for the accuracy of the reported data and to receive, allocate and use the above mentioned crop seeds in a timely manner and in accordance with regulations.
At the online conference to review, evaluate and draw lessons from the work of preventing and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 (morning of September 28, 2024), the leaders of Yen Bai province said that storm No. 3 caused very heavy damage to the locality, killing 54 people, injuring 42 people, flooding 27,000 houses, and burying or washing away more than 7,000 hectares of agricultural land.
In addition, transport, health and education infrastructure were also severely damaged. The total damage is estimated at about 5,700 billion VND.
As reported, on September 14, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision 980/QD-TTg to provide emergency support to overcome damage caused by storm No. 3 for Yen Bai province.
Specifically, support of 30 billion VND for Yen Bai province from the central budget reserve in 2024 to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 and stabilize people's lives.
