On February 27, Comac Airshow - the opening air show of a series of events showcasing civil aircraft researched and manufactured by China in five Southeast Asian countries - officially opened at Van Don International Airport, Quang Ninh Province.
According to the plan, the program at Van Don International Airport will have many activities from now until February 29, including: aircraft takeoff and landing demonstrations, test flight experiences and private meetings on enhancing the development of air routes between China and Quang Ninh province, Vietnam.
Mr. Dam Van Canh - Chairman of Comac Group (China's leading aircraft manufacturer) - assessed that Chinese commercial aircraft flying to Van Don International Airport is an important step to promote the internationalization of Chinese civil aircraft.
This is also another typical example of the extensive cooperation in the economic and trade fields between the two countries.

Previously, the pair of C919 and ARJ21 aircraft of Comac Group flew directly to Van Don International Airport after participating in Singapore Airshow 2024 - the largest air exhibition in Asia.
These are the first two types of civil aircraft in China designed and manufactured by Comac itself, of which the ARJ21-700 is a twin-engine jet with a maximum of 90 seats, and the C919 is a narrow-body passenger aircraft with a maximum of 192 seats.
The successful self-production of these civil aircraft lines has put China in the list of few countries that can design and manufacture aircraft themselves, including: the US, Russia, Brazil, Canada, the UK, France and Germany.
According to plan, after the event in Van Don ends, these planes will continue to fly to Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City before arriving in Vientiane, Laos.
