According to the report of Son Duong district leaders, in 3 years (2021-2022-2023), the district attracted over 2.4 million visitors. In Tan Trao commune, there are currently 18 homestays with the identity of Tay people's stilt houses in operation. Some typical projects of Son Duong district are being planned and built such as: Flamingo Tan Trao, Hoa Lung Lake Forest Park, Tan Trao Flower Garden. The whole district has 33 OCOP products, of which 12 products have 4 stars, 21 products have 3 stars, maintaining and developing 8 tea craft villages in the area. The district strengthens the work of restoring, preserving and promoting national cultural identity, including traditional festivals...
In addition to the achieved results, the leaders of Son Duong district also realized that the district's tourism development has not been commensurate with its potential and strengths. The number of visitors staying is not high, and services are not diverse. The reason is that the capital source for investment in building technical infrastructure and tourism services has not met the requirements. Attracting potential businesses to invest in the district's potential tourism sector is still limited. Tourism promotion and advertising needs innovation.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong assessed that Son Duong has great potential in terms of natural landscapes, revolutionary historical relics, national cultural identity, many outstanding agricultural products, and a special national relic. However, the development is not commensurate with its strengths.

Through the survey, he suggested that Son Duong district focus on developing culture, tourism, and sports with a focus and key points. Son Duong must be more drastic in directing, operating, and reviewing goals and targets, based on reality to build outstanding, unique tourism products with their own brands; must manage well the planning work, especially tourism planning, build tourism products, and ancillary activities. Tan Trao commune and neighboring communes actively build service products and OCOP products.

Regarding the Famingo project and Tan Trao Museum, the investor needs to speed up the construction progress, ensure environmental sanitation, and put the project into use as planned. He noted that the province is expected to hold the opening ceremony of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2024 at Tan Trao Square, Tan Trao Commune on April 27. Therefore, there is not much time left, so he requested the People's Committee of Son Duong district and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate in preparing for the opening ceremony to take place successfully, creating a highlight and motivation for Tan Trao and Son Duong to attract tourists in 2024.
