Building a happy family for a prosperous society

In the process of building and developing the country's economy and society through each period, our Party and State always pay attention to building families. Because the family is the "cell" of society, playing a very important role for society.

The Government has issued Decree No. 02/2013, stipulating that June 28 is the annual date to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day and issued Decision No. 2238, dated December 30, 2021, approving the strategy for developing Vietnamese families to 2030, in order to promote the responsibility of leaders at all levels, sectors, unions, and social organizations for the task of building a prosperous, equal, progressive, happy, and sustainable family (referred to as family building). However, no matter how complete the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws are, the issue of promoting the role and responsibility of the entire political system, headed by the Party Committee together with local authorities at all levels and the responsibility of each family is a factor that directly, regularly, and long-term impacts, and is extremely important in family building today.

In Binh Thuan, along with the general achievements of the country in the period of innovation, opening up, and integration, in addition to the achievements in all aspects of socio-economic development, there have also been positive changes in the field of marriage and family such as: Awareness of family building has been raised, family functions (childbirth, education, economy) have been performed more and more fully; the material and spiritual life of the family has been significantly improved, in which a number of families have become well-off; children's rights, freedom and equality among family members are respected. However, there are still some limitations that need to be overcome, namely: The negative side of the market mechanism has been negatively affecting all aspects of family life, social evils have affected morality, lifestyle, and the formation of human personality in the family. The changes in society during the transition period have led to changes in family relationships, causing the good traditional values of Vietnamese families to tend to fade; many families have parents focusing on investing in the economy, paying little attention to educating their children, leading to their children being spoiled, falling into social evils, affecting their children's future.

From the above shortcomings, the task of building families in Binh Thuan province today with synchronous solutions is set. First of all, it is necessary to promote communication, education and advocacy to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the community about the position and role of families in the period of industrialization and modernization. Pay attention to family economic development, especially priority policies to support economic development for policy families, families in ethnic minority areas, poor families, families in remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas of the province. Create conditions for all families to access knowledge of law, culture, health, education, science and technology and social welfare. Inherit and promote the good traditional cultural values of Vietnamese families...

Along with the above solutions, the most important thing is to strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels and the direction of the government, the coordination of mass organizations at all levels in family work. It is necessary to identify family building as one of the important contents in the process of local socio-economic development. It is necessary to build a system of values that synchronize all aspects of family life, including: In terms of material conditions, the family has a stable income, members of working age have jobs, ensure their lives, have stable housing and essential living facilities. In terms of spirit, members practice respect, equality, love, care, help each other, have responsibility for cultivating happiness, practice a new cultural lifestyle, have good relationships with relatives, neighbors and the community. In terms of education, always promote learning, children of school age are all able to go to school, improve the understanding and knowledge of life of members...
