Vo Thi Kim Anh wins the right to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics

Vo Thi Kim Anh met Islem Ferchichi (Tunisia) in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Olympic qualifying round in the women's 54 kg category. She defeated her opponent with a score of 5-0. The scores were 30-27, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27, 30-26. The ticket to the semi-finals also brought Kim Anh a ticket to Paris this summer.

Vo Thi Kim Anh, born in 1997, is an outstanding athlete of the Vietnamese boxing team. She won a gold medal at the 2022 Thailand Open - a tournament that brings together many of the world's top boxers. Kim Anh is expected to achieve good results and bring high achievements to the boxing team.

Kim Anh is the last boxer still competing for the boxing team in the qualifying round held in Italy. Previously, Nguyen Thi Tam (women's 50kg), Ha Thi Linh (women's 60kg), Hoang Ngoc Mai (women's 66kg), and Luu Diem Quynh (women's 75kg) all stopped.

After the tournament in Italy, Vietnamese boxers still have a chance to qualify for the Olympics in the qualifying tournament held in Thailand in May.

Four Vietnamese athletes who have secured a place in Paris are Nguyen Thi That (cycling), Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting), Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), and Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting). In addition, badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh is in the Olympic group. She will compete in many international tournaments in the coming time to enter the seed group for the 2024 Olympics.

The Vietnamese sports delegation focuses on investing in 12 Olympic sports. Each sport and individual athlete has a specific plan to aim for a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The goal of the Vietnamese sports delegation is to win 12 to 15 tickets to the Summer Olympics.
