"Proud of My Fatherland" 2nd time - 2025: An unforgettable day of ...

Nearly 70 "young" runners competed and completed the race at the Revolutionary Traditional Area of the General Offensive and Uprising of the Spring of Mau Than 1968 (Mau Than 1968 Relic Site).

Notably, many athletes competing in the Kids Run event at the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon - 2025 had participated in running races at a very young age. Only 5 years old, little Anh Khue (Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City) made the audience excited and surprised when she easily completed the 1.5 km distance, finishing in the top 20.

"I always create conditions for my children to experience physical activities after school. Participating in running competitions at a young age will help children practice endurance and develop comprehensive physical fitness" - Anh Khue's mother shared.

Before competing in the 1.5 km distance, the "young" runners were instructed to warm up with lively music, so they all completed the registered distance. Athlete Nguyen Thai Duy Minh (born in 2017) finished first with an impressive achievement. "My father registered me for the race, so I tried to arrange my study time to practice in order to be best prepared for the competition. I have participated in school races and amateur races, but this is the first time I have won the race for children. Although I was tired, I was happy to compete with my peers" - Duy Minh said excitedly.

Duy Minh and his father traveled a long distance from District 7 to soon arrive at the Revolutionary Traditional Area of the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of Mau Than 1968 (Binh Chanh District).

Speaking about the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon - 2025, Mr. Nguyen Ai, Duy Minh's father, said: "The Lao Dong Newspaper has organized a meaningful program, helping athletes gain valuable experiences when crossing historical sites, rich in revolutionary traditions, associated with the resistance war against the French in 1948. Hopefully, the race will be maintained annually and the professional quality will be upgraded day by day...".

The top 5 finishers were Nguyen Thai Duy Minh, Trinh Doan Gia Phuc (born in 2015), Doan Hong Anh (2012), Ngo Huynh Anh Khoi (2016) and Phan Tan Loc (2015). In addition to commemorative medals, the "young" runners with good results also received attractive gifts.

"Competing in a rural area less than 20 km from the city center, runners will experience a range of emotions when crossing historical land. The 6 km, 10 km and 21 km races will continue on April 13.
