Since the beginning of April, Cua Lo has been bustling with excitement in preparation for the 2025 Summer tourist season. Along Binh Minh Street, rows of lush green trees are meticulously cared for, dotted with brilliant flower carpets. The modern lighting system has been upgraded, not only ensuring security but also adding a sparkling, magical look, making Cua Lo more attractive when night falls.
At the same time, the streets are also urgently upgrading infrastructure, from renewing the drainage system to paving clean, beautiful sidewalks. On the beach, the diligent hands of workers are diligently cleaning up, restoring the pristine sand, ready to welcome visitors this summer. In particular, the center of attention is the magnificent stage, where the grand opening ceremony of the Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival 2025 will take place, which is being rushed to completion.
One of the most important highlights in the "new look" of Cua Lo tourism this year is the policy of freeing a series of essential services. According to information from the Vinh City People's Committee, visitors to Cua Lo this summer will enjoy completely free shower services, parking, public restrooms and even check-in services at some famous tourist attractions.
This is a breakthrough decision, demonstrating the local government’s deep concern for the visitor experience, while also affirming its determination to build an image of a friendly, hospitable Cua Lo that always prioritizes the interests of visitors. Modern, clean showerheads have been completed along the beach, ready to serve the needs of the millions of visitors expected to flock here in the coming months.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan - a resident of Nghi Thuy ward expressed her joy: "I am very excited to see Cua Lo becoming more and more beautiful. The free public services are a very meaningful policy, demonstrating the government's thoughtfulness towards tourists. We, the local people, also feel more proud and aware of joining hands to preserve the common landscape".
Not only has the urban appearance been upgraded, but the tourism facilities in Cua Lo have also been heavily invested. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long - Owner of Vinh Hanh Hotel on Binh Minh Street with 70 rooms shared: "To prepare for this important tourist season, we have invested a significant amount of money to renovate the facilities, from the room system to support services. We also pay special attention to training our staff in communication and professional skills, with the hope of bringing visitors the best experiences when choosing Cua Lo".

Along with accommodation facilities, restaurants and eateries are also preparing to welcome a large number of tourists. Ms. Vo Thi Que - Owner of Nam Que Restaurant excitedly shared: "Tourists coming to Cua Lo certainly cannot miss the opportunity to enjoy seafood. This year, with the forecast of an increase in the number of visitors, my restaurant has carefully prepared the supply and committed to ensuring quality. We are also very happy to see Cua Lo becoming more and more beautiful, with better service, this will definitely make tourists want to come back many more times".
Looking forward to the new tourist season
The "transformation" of Cua Lo is not only reflected in free services but also in strong investment in modern transport infrastructure. The Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard route was completed at the end of 2024, significantly shortening the travel time from the city center to the sea, to only about 15 minutes. The spacious road, with many lanes, rows of green trees and a synchronous traffic sign system, not only brings convenience to tourists but also opens up great prospects for socio-economic development for the whole region.
Previously, Cua Hoi Bridge, with its cable-stayed bridge architecture spanning the Lam River, has become a new symbol, connecting Cua Lo with the southern provinces, creating a more seamless and attractive journey to explore the Central region. Vinh International Airport, with its runway renovation and repair project scheduled to be implemented in the third and fourth quarters of this year, promises to bring more convenient flights for domestic and international tourists.
Ms. Bui Thi Khanh Linh - a tourist from Hanoi expressed her surprise and excitement: "I have visited Cua Lo many times, and this time I am really impressed with the changes here. The beach still retains its inherent beauty, but the urban area has become more spacious and clean. Free showering and parking are big pluses. I believe that Cua Lo will attract more and more tourists."
According to the plan, the 2025 Cua Lo Sea Tourism Festival is expected to officially open on April 19. This is an important event, marking the brilliant start of the summer tourist season with many unique cultural and sports activities. The local government has also directed relevant departments and branches to strengthen the work of ensuring security, order, traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention and fighting, and rescue, creating a safe and friendly tourist environment for all visitors.
With efforts to innovate and improve service quality, Cua Lo is setting hopeful goals for 2025. Vinh City strives to welcome 6.9 million tourists, including 3.2 million overnight visitors and 130,000 international visitors. Total revenue from tourism activities is expected to reach 7,000 billion VND, making an important contribution to the local socio-economic development and creating job opportunities for thousands of workers.
To realize this goal, the city is continuing to synchronously deploy many solutions, from constantly improving service quality, diversifying unique tourism products, to enhancing effective tourism promotion and advertising. Moreover, the cooperation and contribution of the whole community is extremely important, from local authorities, tourism service businesses to each citizen. Raising awareness of environmental protection, preserving beautiful natural landscapes, ensuring security and order, and improving service quality are key factors for Cua Lo to truly become an attractive and sustainable tourist destination in the hearts of visitors./.
