Realizing the importance of logistics, Vinh Phuc is focusing on investing in developing logistics infrastructure, creating the most favorable conditions for businesses in production and business activities, thereby promoting investment attraction for local socio-economic development.
Vinh Phuc is one of the most dynamically developing localities in the North. After nearly 30 years of re-establishing the province, promoting its potential and advantages, along with solutions, preferential policies, and attracting investment, Vinh Phuc has gradually become a reliable and successful destination for hundreds of domestic and foreign enterprises.
From a purely agricultural locality that had to receive subsidies from the central budget, Vinh Phuc has made a strong breakthrough to become a developed industrial province, ranked among the top localities with the largest budget revenue and contribution to the central budget in the country.
By the end of 2024, the province will have 17 industrial parks established with a total area of nearly 3,200 hectares. Investment attraction has continuously improved and increased. Currently, the province has attracted nearly 500 FDI projects from more than 20 countries and territories with a total registered capital of over 8.4 billion USD; nearly 850 DDI projects with a total registered investment capital of over 145 trillion VND.
ICD Vinh Phuc logistics center with synchronous infrastructure and modern technology will create a breakthrough development for the logistics sector in the province.
It is expected that by 2050, Vinh Phuc will establish and plan 12 new industrial parks with a total area of over 2,300 hectares. Therefore, the development of logistics infrastructure to facilitate businesses, enhance competitiveness and attract investment has always been of special interest to the province.
In particular, the province has planned and developed a synchronous transport infrastructure system to meet the travel needs of people and the trade and transport of goods of enterprises, including the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway; national highways, provincial roads, district roads, parking lots; inland waterways, inland waterway ports; Hanoi - Lao Cai railway; Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong; urban railway connecting Vinh Phuc with Hanoi urban railway, Noi Bai airport, etc.
Focus on attracting investment and developing the dry port system to serve the import and export needs of enterprises. It is expected that by 2050, the province will have 3 dry ports, including the dry port in Huong Canh town and Son Loi commune (Binh Xuyen) with an area of 83 hectares; Lap Thach dry port with an area of 50 hectares and Cam Gia dry port, Vinh Tuong district with an area of 30 hectares.
Currently, the Dry Port in Huong Canh town and Son Loi commune (ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center) is a strategic joint venture between YCH Group, a leading supply chain solution provider in Singapore and T&T Group (Vietnam), with a total investment of nearly VND 3,900 billion, and a designed capacity of customs clearance of about 530,000 TEU/year, and has begun phase 1 of operation.
Vinh Phuc ICD logistics center with an area of 83 hectares is considered the first "super port" of the smart logistics network in the ASEAN region, with the integrated function of a logistics service center, ICD dry port, and customs clearance to serve the needs of businesses inside and outside the province.
The center is located on the Northern Economic Corridor, connecting 20 industrial parks with major seaports and airports, including Hai Phong, Noi Bai and extending to Yunnan and Kunming provinces (China) and connecting with global supply centers across Asia, including China, India and Southeast Asia.
At the same time, to facilitate and reduce time and costs for businesses in the process of customs clearance, T&Y Superport Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company, the investor of ICD Vinh Phuc Logistics Center, integrates AI solutions that have been deployed at Supply Chain City that YCH Group has successfully developed in Singapore.
Applying modern technologies, such as advanced warehouse robots to optimize workflows and speed up order processing; ESG platform uses blockchain and AI technology to develop Digital Twin to help track and reduce carbon…
Along with that, T&Y Superport Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company proactively signed cooperation agreements with Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Vietnam Railway Corporation, Vietnam National Shipping Lines Corporation to diversify connection methods, creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to export and import goods.
Currently, the province is focusing on directing the removal of some existing problems; guiding and supporting investors to put the entire project into operation according to the committed schedule. At the same time, it is researching and developing support mechanisms and policies to attract logistics enterprises to continue investing in the province, striving to make Vinh Phuc one of the leading logistics centers in the North.
