Welcoming the delegation of the Iranian Law Enforcement Command to Vietnam, the Prime Minister said that the visit is meaningful in the context that the two countries have just celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Iran diplomatic relations (1973-2023); the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Iran over the past half century have developed in many aspects. Appreciating the efforts and achievements that the Government and people of Iran have achieved in recent times and sharing the difficulties Iran is facing, the Prime Minister said that although Vietnam and Iran are geographically far apart, they have many similarities, self-reliance, and a common aspiration to build a prosperous country and happy people.
The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to promote cooperation with Iran in all fields, including economics, trade, investment, health, science-technology, tourism, agriculture, security and defense; contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Thanking the Prime Minister for taking the time to receive the delegation and for the affection that Vietnam has shown to Iran over the years, Commander of the Iranian Law Enforcement Department Ahmad Reza Radan conveyed the invitation of Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to officially visit Iran, contributing to strengthening Vietnam-Iran relations.
Congratulating Vietnam on its great achievements in socio-economic development and its increasing position and role in the region and the world, the Commander of the Iranian Law Enforcement Command affirmed that Vietnam always plays an important role in Iran's foreign policy. Believing that the two countries still have much room for cooperation, Iran wishes and is ready to promote relations with Vietnam, especially in the fields of economy, trade, security and defense. Informing the Prime Minister about the results of the talks between the Iranian Law Enforcement Command and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, Commander Ahmad Reza Radan said that the two sides have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.
Appreciating the successful talks between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Iranian Law Enforcement Command, the Prime Minister believed that the two sides would actively and effectively implement the achieved results, contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. To further strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries, the Prime Minister suggested that the two sides continue to effectively implement the contents of the agreement during the visit to Iran in 2023 by the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly; promote the early organization of the 10th meeting of the Vietnam-Iran Intergovernmental Committee in 2024; increase the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations to learn about the needs and potential for cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides need to promote and make economic, trade and investment cooperation an important content in the cooperation between the two countries; exploit the potentials of both sides, such as: import and export of agricultural and aquatic products, Halal industry...; study the possibility of expanding cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
Regarding security and defense cooperation, the Prime Minister proposed actively exchanging information and promoting professional coordination; coordinating the handling of transnational crimes and crimes involving citizens of the two countries; effectively implementing specific cooperation activities in the spirit of the cooperation documents recently signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Iranian Law Enforcement Command and Ministry of Interior in security, order and crime prevention and control, especially terrorism prevention and cyber security.
In addition, the two sides need to strengthen cooperation in the field of education and training, including research on language and culture; promote tourism cooperation; study the possibility of cooperation on labor; strengthen cooperation, people-to-people exchange, and cooperation between localities of the two countries.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Commander of the Iranian Law Enforcement Ministry also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern; agreed to strengthen cooperation and support each other at international forums of which the two countries are members. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber for inviting the Prime Minister to visit Iran officially; said that the relevant agencies would make arrangements through diplomatic channels.
