The girl left more resolutely and hastily than he had been warned, not even looking at the bag of trash she had just left behind, making Mr. Ba even more surprised.

Why is it so difficult to put trash in the right place?

Mr. Ba said he often goes to Tao Dan Park (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to exercise. Almost everyone who comes here is proactive in not littering and puts their trash in the right place.

"However, many people openly litter, as if there are cleaners to do that job. Just putting trash in the right place is so difficult," Mr. Ba confided.

It is worth mentioning that littering is happening in many places. As in this case, the trash was thrown right on the chair, under the row of chairs where everyone can definitely read the words printed on the chair before sitting down: "For a clean and beautiful city".

Selfish, only know how to be beautiful for yourself

Ms. Huong (56 years old, living in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) said that besides exercising, the main reason why she and her friends often go to the park is because of the cleanliness and fresh air. To maintain a clean space, putting trash in the right place is something that no one needs to remind them about.

The group also reminded each other to limit bringing trash to the park. However, Ms. Huong said that many visitors carelessly littered.

"That's not to say it's all the young people's fault, but I've been here a lot and seen a lot of young people with bright faces, but they litter everywhere they sit, all kinds of garbage," said Ms. Huong.

Young Hong Gam (a university student in Go Vap district) said that when she first arrived at the park, she was surprised to see many of her peers littering. Gam also spoke up to warn them, but the outcome was the same.

"I gently reminded her, but some of her friends glared at her fiercely, while she was dressed very stylishly and very young. That's so selfish, only knowing how to make herself beautiful, and not caring about public property," Gam said.
